Course academics are really strict . Just follow whatever sir is saying .
Choose TA(Teching Assistant) wisely otherwise you will give half of you time to TA work only .

Fees and Financial Aid:

At first you have to pay approx 3.35 lakhs which is (2.75L + 60K) this is admission fees and 1st semester fees. Thereafter you have to pay 2.75 L per semester which by the way increases by 5% every year .Even if you are not financially capable of paying the fees you will easily get the loan from BITS . And since there is no reservation in BITS so all the students have same fees .

Academic fees has a 5% annual increase and the the fees in 2023 was approx 6 Lakhs along with mess charges and hostel charges of 50k/yr for both respectively. which total sums up of 29.86 Lakhs for 4 year degree of btech There is no quota or reservation. The admission is completely Merit based. there is MCN (merit cum need) scholarship whose eligibility is Family Income <15LPA. There is also Merit Scholarship which is given to top 2% students.

The fee structure for B.E. Chemical engineering at Bits pilani K. K. Birla Goa Campus is approx. 6 lakh per year, totaling around 29 lakh for the entire course duration. The total fees include tution charges (around Rs. 2,50,000 per semester),summer term fees(around Rs.90,000) ,admission fees(around Rs.55,000), hostel fees(around 26,000 for goa and hyderabad campus and around 20,000 for pilani campus per semester),mess and electricity fees (around 10,000 per semester),other advances(around 13,000 per semester) and institute caution money(around 3,000 per semester). The tution fee increases at 5 % per annum every year. In summer term ,Students need to register for the practice school which is done during summer vacation between 2nd and 3rd year and its fee is 35% of the previous academic year whose fee is mentioned as summer term. There is no management quota or any kind of reservation , admission to bits is fully based on marks scored in BITSAT exam. There is dual program in which students are alloted M.Sc degree and at the end of 1st year based on their CGPA they are alloted single engg. degree and their course duration is of 5 year and they have to pay extra fee accordinly totaling to around 36,00,000. Bits pilani offers Merit cum need and merit scholarships. Merit cum need is for those having annual income of 15 lakh p.a. and merit is based on CGPA rank in each campus. For merit cum need students are ranked among those who have applied for MCN and then they are given scholarships in percentages of tution fees like 25%,40%,80% and for Merit some top students are given 100% scholarships.

The fee is 6 lakh per year, divided into 2 semesters. Each semester fee is 3 lakh, which includes 2.5 lakh of tuition and 50 thousand hostel + mess fee. The fee is to be submitted in January at the start of semester 1 and then in August at the start of semester 2. It can be paid either through a card or a bank transfer.

Okay so studying in a private university, there is a fee hike of a minimun 5% every year. As per the last semester, i paid somewhere around Rs. 255000 as my tuition fees, Rs. 27750 as my hostel fee, Rs. 10000 as mess advances, Rs. 12000 as miscelleneous advance for any other deductions where the advances are to be used. For the yearly basis you can double the total and some extra, say the fee hike and the carry forward of the student welfare account of the student, where all of this is stored once when paid and used accordingly.These carry forwards happen only when your SWD account goes negative when the mess advances are totally exhausted or if u paid ur SWD money in buying some sort of fest passes or other stuff in the college. Since this being a private university there is bias in fees structure on the basis of reservation. No extra lab or stationary fee required for books, that you can get from your college seniors. Students admitted every year get a different fee structure, say higher than the previous academic year. Though you can get multiple types of scholarships, merit scholarship, merit-cum need scholarship being the prominent.

ZERO ATTENDANCE POLICY: Student have the flexibilty to appear for exams even with zero attendance to classes which give them the freedom to explore their interest irrespective of the degree

Dislikes

HIGH FEE: almost 30 lakhs for a 4 year degree
No government funding: BITS being a pvt institution recieves no govt funding, which is to be beared by students

Fees and Financial Aid:

The tution payable to the college is 245000 per semester in the first year, which increases at a rate of 5% every year. Other fees while admmission include admission fee of 53900, SU fees of 400, cautionary deposit of 3000(which is refundable). Registration fee for the admission tes BITSAT is 5500. Mess advance of 10000- and misc. 12000. So the total 1st semester fee payable is 349825. Including the increase of 5% every year, the total 4 year fee adds up to 2535000. Apart from scholarships, financial aid is also given to needy students irrespective of their academic performance

Yearly, Tuition fees are 519000 rs and you have to pay 55500 rs for hostel yearly. 24000 rs is taken as miscellaneous advance and 20000 is mess advnace. The advance money is added to swd account and cut monthly according to the charges of mess and miscellaneous things. Daily plate costs 160 rs including breakfast lunch and dinner and if you want evening snacks you have to pay 30 rs separately. Also for fest,merch etc money is deducted from swd and feat pass costs 2500 whereas merch is upto you if and how much you buy. 600 rs per month electricity bill is also cut from this only.

BITS Pilani is nearly impossible to beat at any score lower than 305.

Unless you are in an "IIT," or unless you are only concerned with the college brand name, the subjects you will study in the future. To be honest, your skills and knowledge will get you everything, but stream allows you to become eligible to sit for the jobs you want. You should emphasize focusing on the stream rather than the college brand name because many colleges have eligibility criteria, i.e. CSE/IT students can apply but others cannot, and thus other students are not exposed to enough opportunities, as is the case at the college where I did my undergrad and many other colleges.
