BITS Pilani will start registration for BITS HD 2026 by February 2026. The exam is conducted for two papers – Test I and Test II. The test I includes a total 30 questions and must be andwered within 45 minutes. The time allotted for test II is 105 minutes with 70 questions in total.

Every year, the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, conducts an entrance test to offer admission to M.E. and M.Pharm programmes across its various campuses, including Pilani, K K Birla Goa and Hyderabad campuses of BITS Pilani.

Admissions to BITS HD comprise registration, followed by downloading the admit card, appearing for the exam, results, and participating in the counselling.

For all the mentioned tests, there will be MCQs and marking scheme is that each correct answer is worth +3 marks, and -1 mark deduction per incorrect attempts and no marks deducted for unattempted answers.

It is compulsory for each and every aspirants and includes questions from Test I has Core Mathematics and English Language Skills and Logical Reasoning and for Test II is for students applying to all Higher Degree programs except those who are applying for M.E. in Environmental Engineering and M.E. in Software systems. For these two branches seperate tests are conducted in BITS HD admission test.

The test is administered for admission into M.E./M.Pharm programs of BITS Pilani. You can get into M.E. courses of the University with a valid GATE 2025/2024/2023 score. Similarly into M.Pharm. course with a valid GPAT 2026/2024/2023 score.

Special Test for Software Systems

This test is only for those students who are applying for ME software systems programs at BITS.
A total of 50 questions are asked in this paper, which should be completed in 60 minutes.
Questions in the test are of an objective type, multiple-choice. For every correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded, while for each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
No marks will be awarded or deducted for un-attempted questions.

Special Test for M.E. Environmental Engineering

This special test for Environmental Engineering is required for only those students who are applying for M.E. Environmental Engineering. A total of 50 questions are asked in this paper, which should be completed in 60 minutes. Questions in the test are of an objective type, multiple-choice. For every correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded, while for each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
