BITS Pilani will start registration for BITS HD 2026 by February 2026. The exam is conducted for two papers – Test I and Test II. The test I includes a total 30 questions and must be andwered within 45 minutes. The time allotted for test II is 105 minutes with 70 questions in total.
Every year, the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, conducts an entrance test to offer admission to M.E. and M.Pharm programmes across its various campuses, including Pilani, K K Birla Goa and Hyderabad campuses of BITS Pilani.
Admissions to BITS HD comprise registration, followed by downloading the admit card, appearing for the exam, results, and participating in the counselling.
For all the mentioned tests, there will be MCQs and marking scheme is that each correct answer is worth +3 marks, and -1 mark deduction per incorrect attempts and no marks deducted for unattempted answers.
It is compulsory for each and every aspirants and includes questions from Test I has Core Mathematics and English Language Skills and Logical Reasoning and for Test II is for students applying to all Higher Degree programs except those who are applying for M.E. in Environmental Engineering and M.E. in Software systems. For these two branches seperate tests are conducted in BITS HD admission test.
The test is administered for admission into M.E./M.Pharm programs of BITS Pilani. You can get into M.E. courses of the University with a valid GATE 2025/2024/2023 score. Similarly into M.Pharm. course with a valid GPAT 2026/2024/2023 score.

BITS HD 2026 Application Form
To appear in the entrance examination, students must fill out the application form. Students can obtain the BITS HD 2026 Application Form in online mode by visiting the institute’s official website. Registration
- Visit the official website of BITS.
- Search for the online application form link.
- Fill the application form by entering the student’s name, qualification details, father’s name, mother’s name, address, email ID, etc.
- Candidates who wish to write the BITS HD Test are to give their preference for three Test centres
- Click on the Submit button.
- Students are advised to download and print out of filled-in application form for future reference.
Pay Application Fees
- Students have to submit the application fees of amounting to INR 3400 at the time of application form submission.
- Those who wish to be considered through the GATE/ GPAT score must pay an application fee of INR 1000

Note:
- Students can submit only one form for admission to a higher degree.
- If students find any discrepancy in the form submitted by them, then they can submit the second application form before the late date.
- They need to indicate on the top of the second application that their first application should be cancelled.

All the students who successfully register for the test can easily download the admit card from the official website. Students are advised to check all the information written on the admit card carefully before downloading it. In case of any discrepancy, students must contact the higher authorities and get it rectified as soon as possible.
By following the steps, students can download the BITS HD 2026 Admit Card:

BITS HD 2026 Test II Pattern

Special Test for Software Systems
- This test is only for those students who are applying for ME software systems programs at BITS.
- A total of 50 questions are asked in this paper, which should be completed in 60 minutes.
- Questions in the test are of an objective type, multiple-choice. For every correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded, while for each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
- No marks will be awarded or deducted for un-attempted questions.
Special Test for M.E. Environmental Engineering
This special test for Environmental Engineering is required for only those students who are applying for M.E. Environmental Engineering. A total of 50 questions are asked in this paper, which should be completed in 60 minutes. Questions in the test are of an objective type, multiple-choice. For every correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded, while for each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

BITS HD 2026 Result
