BITS HD 2026 Registration Begins @bits-pilani.ac.in; Applications Close on April 20

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani has started the registration process for BITS Higher Degree (HD) Admission 2026 for the academic session 2026–27. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official admission portal. As per the schedule, the application window opened on February 18, 2026, and the last date to submit the completed application form along with the prescribed fee is April 20, 2026.

Candidates will also get an opportunity to edit or revise their application forms on April 22 and 23, 2026. Admission to BITS Pilani’s Higher Degree programmes, including M.E. and M.Pharm courses, will be offered through multiple pathways.

• Through GATE: Candidates can apply to most Higher Degree programmes (except M.E. Software Systems) based on their valid GATE score for M.E. or GPAT score for M.Pharm.
• Through BITS HD Test: Candidates can also apply to all Higher Degree programmes based on the marks obtained in the computer-based BITS HD entrance test conducted by BITS Pilani.
• Through Both GATE and BITS HD: Applicants can choose to be considered based on both GATE/GPAT scores and BITS HD test marks to improve their chances of admission.

According to the official schedule, the first admission offer for candidates applying through GATE or GPAT scores will be released on May 4, 2026, and the deadline for fee payment will be May 11, 2026. The test centre allotment for BITS HD will be announced on May 18, 2026, while hall tickets will be available for download from May 21, 2026, until the exam date. The BITS HD online test is scheduled to be conducted on May 25 and 26, 2026.

Further admission offers based on the BITS HD test and GATE or GPAT scores will be released in multiple rounds. The second iteration result will be announced on June 8, 2026, followed by a fee payment deadline of June 22, 2026. The third iteration will be declared on June 29, 2026, and candidates will have to pay fees by July 6, 2026.
