BITS Pilani Goa Admission 2024: Courses, Eligibility, Cutoff, Selection Criteria
BITS Pilani Goa offers admission to B.E., M.E., M.Sc. and Ph.D. based on merit in the entrance exam scores. BITS Goa conducts BITSAT for its B.E. program and BITS HD for its M.E. courses. Ph.D. applicants are required to take the admission test followed by an interview, combined scores of which determine the merit list.
There is a provision for direct admissions for those students who are Board toppers and/Science stream toppers with PCM. M.E. program at BITS Goa admits only those students who have a B.E./B.Tech degree in a relevant field of study. Students can be eligible for selections if they qualify BITS-HD or GATE entrance exam.

There are 2 types of criteria to be eligible for admissions to B.E. program at BITS Goa:
- BITSAT- Passed 10+2 from a recognized State or Central Board with a minimum of 75% in PCM.
- Direct Admission- State Board Toppers are offered direct admissions irrespective of their BITSAT scores, only if they have the highest aggregate in PCM/are Science stream toppers.

The M.E. admissions at BITS Pilani Goa are determined on the basis of the undergraduate degree. Students can take up only those specializations where they have a relevant UG degree. BITS Pilani PhD Eligibility
There 3 ways to determine an applicant’s eligibility for admission to the Ph.D. program at BITS Goa. They are as follows:
- An overall aggregate of 60% in M.E./M.Tech/M.Pharm/MBA/M.Phil. in the qualifying examination.
- B.E./B.Pharm./M.Sc. with 60% of the total aggregate in the last qualifying exam.
- Admission to Humanities & Social Science requires applicants to have at least 55% in an M.A. degree.

BITS Goa offers a total of 41 programs in various fields, including both UG and PG courses. Admissions to all the Integrated First Degree programmes of BITS Goa is based on merit in BITSAT, a computer-based online test.
The Integrated First Degree programmes to which admissions will be made based on BITSAT scores vary according to the campuses. On the BITS Goa campus, B.E. Chemical, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation, Mathematics and Computing, and Mechanical Engineering courses are offered.

I got confirmed admission in some of the top NITs but I chose Bits over NIT due to no reservation policy and zero attendance policy. To get admission in Bits you need to give an entrance test called BITSAT. The cutoffs are changing so it's better you see the previous year cutoffs before the exam. I also qualified JEE Advanced but the rank was not good to get admission into any of the top IITs.

- The student body is very active they fight for our benifits and improve the campus to the best of their abilities

- Hard and fast moving curriculum very many topics are covered at a high pace
- Tough relative grading compared to other bits campuses

I left RVCE banglore cse for bits goa msc Economics because I wanted to have an hostel Life and bits has 0 attendance policy which was a plus I could still get cse here with dual allotment so I left RVCE .Bits goa had better placements better infrastructure, faculties etc The admission is 100 percent merit based with no reservation and mostly through the bitsat ecamination and through thesat for international students

- Stress Free Living - The campus takes care of all tertiary needs such as food, grocery, laundry etc. Thus the students gave more than enough time and opportunity to prepare for their exams and personal commitments. Barber is also there
- Clubs and Departments-There are technical and non technical clubs giving students the opportunity to develop any skill they desire. These also givr students the opportunity to interact with like minded people, yhus leading to self growth and develop
Dislikes
- Fees-The fee is high compared to majority of the colleges
- Grading-Grading is relatively difficult as compared to other colleges
Admission:
The number 1 reason I chose this institute was the 0% reservation policy. This means that you are granted admission on the basis of pure merit, no conditions attached whatsoever. Due to this, you get to interact with like minded people having similar goals and mindsets as you. There is no kind of bullying or segregation whatsoever and everyone is treated with utmost respect

- Infrastructure is Well designed. All lab equipments work and are in good condition. Air conditioners work well in both lecture theatres and classrooms. Auditorium is also big and noise doesn't echo
- Some faculty members are very good. Others do not make a lot of effort in providing study material. Zero attendance policy comes handy here as you can skip their classes and study on your own.
Dislikes
- Exams are packed throughout the semester. Every month there will be either a quiz/midsem/compre(finals). Every week, there are evaluative labs which reflect on the CGPA so you have to constantly study.
- Not a lot of hostel facilities like a pantry. Kettles, iron are not allowed.
Admission:
KJ Somaiya. Wasn't worth it. It doesn't come close to BITS Goa. BITS conducts its own test named BITSAT. It has JEE mains syllabus And to score you have to be accurate and fast. The paper pattern is 100 questions of +3/-1 scheme. There are 30 bonus questions which are unlocked only after submitting all the previous questions.
Admission:
The placement, internship and research opportunities provided here are unmatchable. The faculty is extremely friendly and approachable. For students who wish to pursue entrepreneurship, there are various opportunities and platforms provided to them to acquire funding and support. There is a semester abroad program with RIMT as well.

The admission process is simple, the college considers only BITSAT score and does not consider JEE scores. Personally I chose BITS Pilani over IIT Gandhinagar because of the Coding culture and the exposure that BITS Pilani offers is way ahead than any mediocre IIT.

- Like the college culture and the ambience here. The food points are also good.
- The campus and infrastructure is really good.
Dislikes
- The fees is a little high, it may not be affordable for everyone.
- Cycles are not allowed. That wastes a lot of time walking around to the classes and back.
Admission:
I chose this college fo the BITS tag, as it is a very reputed institute. The academic culture is good, as well as the placemnts. I also gave JEE and was getting good branches in good NIT's. We have to give bitsat exam for getting admission into BITS and based on your bitsat score you get your preffered branch.
Admission:
1. I qualified for IPMAT which gave an opportunity to go to IIM Rohtak but I choose BITS because of a personal bias towards engineering and Innovation. Also I wanted to explore more opportunities which I didn't know of which BITS had to offer rather than just going for Finance. 2. The admission process is based on a exam called BITSAT ONLY. Here cutoffs are based on the marks you scored without any type of percentile system. So you are only responsible for if you get admission or not. The lowest cutoff in my year was 170 to get admission in BITS Goa.
Admission:
I chose this college because of many reasons. The campus placements offered by this college is really good. Teaching facilities are good. The infrastructure and campus is really beautiful and lively. Overall the college is really good.

- Clubs, departments, PORs, helps learn new things

- The fee is actually more than it should be
- The amenities are worse than they should be at the fee

I got into nirma and almost completed a semester, but then I got a text that there are a couple more iterations, so I applied and got in. I chose BITS for exposure, and it also has a higher average placement CTC.
