Go for NIT Rourkela if you are getting a seat in CSE. It is considered as one of the best NITs for CSE. The coding culture at the institute is outstanding and still developing day by day. You will be offered great exposure at NIT Rourkela. However, the institute has very high cut off and the competition is high. Fees for a 4 year degree without any scholarships is about 25 lacs. However Bits Goa provides scholarships:- 1. Merit Scholarship - Awarded to those with outstanding academic performance irrespective of your academic background. Generally students with a 9.5+ cgpa are rewarded. 2. Merit Cum Needs Scholarship(MCN): Students with family income less than 12 lacs(this figure is subject to change) are rewarded these scholarships. A minimum cgpa criteria of 6 cgpa( on a 10 point scale) is also applied.

Fees are like any other private institute. 40k per month for a hostel, mess, and electricity and 2L for tution fees. College also gives merit cum need scholarships on the basis of your cgpa in every semester.

BITS Goa- A wonderful experience

The fees of this college are pretty high compared to other colleges. Its approximately 2.5 lakhs per semester excluding hostel fees. But students get many scholarships here, many alumni provide scholarships for different causes. The college itself gives 2 types of scholarship, Merit scholarship- For the 1% toppers of the batch, Merit cum need scholarship- For the 1% toppers of the batch whose parents' fees is less than 12 lakh( may change from year to year). Roughly many students get some or the other kind of scholarships.

Fee hike policy - 15% hike every year on tuition fee Cost to study - 4+lakh/year (depends on a hike every year) Name of the scholarships provided - MCN(Merit cum need) and Merit scholarships. In order to avail MCN scholarship, your annual income should be less than 8lakh and your Cumulative Grade should be >6. In order to avail Merit scholarship, you should be among the top 1% of total number of students in batch (Atleast CG above 9.4).

Brief review of Bits goa

The fee is quite high and pretty much unaffordable to many people but there are some scholarships awarded on the merit and merit cum need basis which reduces the tution fees by a good margin. The fee hike is about 8-9% a year which adds up to quite much

Best private university of the country

No, but most of the people get scholarships based on merit. Also there is merit cum need scholarships which are given based on merit and salary of parents. Also, many students opt for education loan. And the process is very easy as there is sbi branch in the campus.

Admission into bits provides you with best loans possible in the country at par with iim loans. Bits also provides MCN and Merit scholarships to those who need it based on need or merit. Roughly 20% of the students on campus benefit from this.

Good college Better location

Our college has a tie-up with SBI and we have SBI bank branch opened in our campus. Anyone who has been admitted to the college easily get loans and the total fees of 20 lakhs is easily covered. The college provides two kind of scholarships - merit and merit cum need (for families have total income less than 10 lakhs).
