BITSAT 2026 Answer Key

BITS Pilani does not release an official answer key after the exam. Memory-based answer keys and solutions prepared by coaching institutes and education portals are available shortly after each shift.

Where to Find Memory-Based Answer Keys

  • Shift 1 (9 AM – 12 PM): Available same day on platforms like YouTube, Reddit & Quora.
  • Shift 2 (2 PM – 5 PM): Released on the same evening as each exam date

Note: These are student-recalled, memory-based papers — not official releases. Use them for rough self-assessment only, not as final benchmarks.

How to Self-Evaluate Using the Answer Key

Score = (No. of Correct Answers × 3) – (No. of Wrong Answers × 1)

The raw score shown on screen immediately after your exam is based on this formula. The official moderated scorecard released by BITS Pilani may differ slightly and is the one that counts for admissions.

FAQs

Ques. Is 270 a good score in BITSAT?

Ans. Yes, 270 is a very good and competitive BITSAT score that generally secures admission into core engineering branches at BITS Pilani, Goa, or Hyderabad. While it might fall slightly short for Computer Science, it puts you in a strong position for top-tier electronics and core streams.

Ques. What rank is 300 marks in BITSAT?

Ans. Based on historical trends and expert analysis, a score of 300 marks out of 390 is expected to correspond to an approximate BITSAT rank between 5,000 and 8,800.

While BITS Pilani does not officially release rank data, this competitive score places you in the top 5% of candidates, making you eligible for core circuital branches (such as ECE and EEE) at the Pilani campus or CSE at the Goa and Hyderabad campuses.

Ques. What is a good score in BITSAT 2026?

Ans. A score of 320 or above is considered a safe score for BITS Pilani. For BITS Goa, 300+ is a safe target. For BITS Hyderabad, 280+ gives you access to most programmes. CSE at any campus requires 310 marks or more.

Ques. Can I appear in both BITSAT sessions?

Ans. Yes. You can appear in Session 1, Session 2 or both. If you appear in both, BITS Pilani considers your best score for admission.

Ques. Does BITS Pilani use JEE Main scores for admission?

Ans. No. BITS Pilani does not use JEE Main scores at all. Only your BITSAT score determines your eligibility for admission across all BITS campuses.

Ques. When will the BITSAT 2026 Session 2 result be declared?

Ans. BITSAT 2026 Session 2 result is expected in June 2026, a few days after the exam concludes. You can check your scorecard on admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in using your application number and password.

Ques. Is BITSAT session 2 harder?

Ans. No, BITSAT Session 2 is not inherently harder, as the difficulty level is kept statistically equivalent to Session 1 through normalization. However, students often perceive it as tougher because the competition increases as applicants have more time to prepare and improve their scores.

Ques. Who can get direct admission to BITS Pilani without BITSAT?

Ans. Rank-1 holders (board toppers) from any recognised central or state board examination can get direct admission to BITS campuses without appearing in BITSAT. They must upload their Class 12 marksheet on the BITS admission portal.
