Love DRC

Likes

Great faculty , though small college with average NIRF, teachers are well versed and we learn a lot from them who are available for us all the time

Dislikes

Okayish washrooms, not that clean with unavailability of water and soap many times
Small desks, poor ac even in auditorium and crowded areas

I think from sixth semester , highest package has been of 650000 but l am unaware of placements, they are not that much but we have a good functional placement cell working providing us with great internship options!

My Journey in daulat ram

Likes

Things i like about my college is vibrant life and positive vibes . People there are friendly and nice. There is no bullying in the college.
As it is a girls college i feel free and safe. There is no fear of judgment.
Canteen area is nice and the front utility is also good. Sports complex is also good

Dislikes

The teaching faculty of my course. They don't creat excited environment of teaching
The campus is small as compare to other colleges and is not build completely. We need to find classes or wait for other classes to end so that we can occupy that class
The roaming of dogs inside the corriders .they creat dirt in the corridor

As i am new in rhe college i am not must aware of the placement faculty but its good Because when i was in the college there were many students applying to be the part if placement cell I have also heard from seniors and friends that it works really well I didnt visited any company yet Less % of students gets the placement Who are capable After getting the degree i will prepare for civil services

My opinion

Likes

Environment is so welcoming and friendly
I like the fest of our college personally
Well structured and still developing beautifully

Dislikes

Not having badminton court is my biggest disliked
Due to continuous construction there is noise pollution
Societies are not that much active i feel personally

Placement Experience:

As I am 1st year student i don't know much about it but most probably placement starts in third year. Well known companies reach out to our college for placement. Avg package would be around 6-7 lpa. 80% of our students easily get placed. My plan is to open a business in my upcoming future.

A Day scholar's take on DRC life

Likes

Our teachers, faculty and seniors are very nice and helpful.
Since our college is for girls, it feels very safe.
There is wide range of courses and active student societies.

Dislikes

Campus is not too big and Infrastructure can be upgraded.
placement opportunities are limited and the package offered are also not very impressive .
There aren't enough seating area in the campus.

At Daulat Ram College students become eligible for campus placements in the final year. About 40–50 companies visit annually offering roles in IT, finance, analytics, and marketing. Highest packages reach ?23?LPA, averages ?6–6.5?LPA. Placement rates vary 5–24%, with top recruiters including Accenture, Wipro, Deloitte, DE?Shaw, KPMG, ICICI, and HDFC. After completing my degree my main goal is to secure a good placement that aligns with my skills and interests.

College Review (DRC Edition)

Likes

Helpful environment. The seniors are cooperative.
The area is quite small, but nice. The gardens look pleasing.
Friendly environment among peers. Easier to connect.

Dislikes

The concept of "Midsem exams" brought this year itself. I get it that preparation and revision is necessary, but we are already kept busy by tons of assignments, and many colleges don't even have midsems! It's a burden!
The pressure of the societies. The union is sometimes too demanding, to the point that they message us personally and refuse to accept reasons for our unavailability. As if we don't have a life outside the societies
The compulsory rule to join one of the NSS, NCC or NSO. Literally NO OTHER COLLEGE has this rule. And it isn't benefitting us in any way!

I kind of do not understand the point of studying ancient statecraft and political theory. As much as these subjects could be valued by some, in my opinion, I know that i'm NEVER going to have to use these topics in my daily life. So why make it such a big issue? I suppose they should focus more on topics like geopolitics, which would definitely affect our day to day life.

The actual truth about Daulat Ram College

Likes

It is a all girls only college which makes me feel even more comfortable.
My teachers, faculty is really nice i feel.
I actually think my friends and seniors are super helpful and they makes our survival in college better.

Dislikes

The infrastructure probably, could have been better
The elevator is only for specially abled students and not others
This college is not affiliated to DUSU, fine.

Actually the 3 discipline core subjects are truly important and relevance to my course. However the skill enchantment course and value addition course, even EVS taught this semester barely helps. That sometimes even felt like a burden. Still choosing the right GE, major is useful. I enjoy that... going through.

A college review full of pros and cons

Likes

It's girls college- where we can comfortably study.
The environment is very safe and secure- I feel safe around my college campus.
There are lots of societies and clubs which I can join.

Dislikes

Lack of providing students with internships and placement.
There is lack of guidance most of the times students are confused.
Overall sometimes teachers and professors are not at all considerate.

The core subjects are very well divided, the main problem arises with the other additional subjects which requires efforts as same as the other subject even though they don't hold any importance as such. Maybe reducing other subject or making them practical based instead of theory based would be helpful.

Reality Check

Likes

Faculties are immensely understanding and educated.
Girls can wear anything without getting judged.
Seniors are so supportive and gives advice according to the situation.

Dislikes

Fests in the college are not upto the mark.
College management should invite popular personalities both for enjoyment or motivation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in theoretical subjects. Even in my school time, I liked theory subjects more than practical or numerical subjects. This is one of the reason I chose this specific course. Another reason is that I like reading non fictional novels. At the age of 15, I started reading novels but after diving into this course I'm liking the fictional novels too. I don't think this course needs to improve anything. It is in it's best form at the point.

The first thing I like a lot about college is the teachers . I can say that I really found the most amazing, supportive and lovely teachers . They are going to have a special place in my heart .
I like the crowd of the college, the students are really amazing. Like they don't judge you , they don't tease you . You will meet the girly girls in this college.
The society's of college, it give me a space to work on creative side or i can say hobby side . Society teach a lot of things . It helps to develop my personality. Make me more confident

Dislikes

The infrastructure, for sure I dislike the infrastructure like we don't have classroom alloted to us . Each morning we have to hussle to find a empty room . But the building are under construction so I think this problem will get resolved
The second thing I hate is washroom , like in sadhwana bhawan the washroom are not even clean . you got eww feelings while entering the washroom
And yeah I hate the garbage besides the swing . Like what the garbage is doing in that area . Keep this area near and clean

I really don't like the curriculum , the syllabus should be updated as per real life situations . And I feel like more no. Of lectures should be alloted to understand the concepts really better . There should be some real life based and AI in the syllabus

My college Life

Likes

I liked the campus, it's peaceful , calm and friendly environment.
Faculty of Economics is supportive and knowledgeable. Immediate responses.
The food of canteen is very reasonable and tasty.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not so good. The building looks very old and broken from some places.
The size of the campus is very small. It doesn't have sports like basketball and badminton.
Shortage of books and magazines in the library.

I liked Economics as a subject in my class 12th and I choose this course for my undergraduate degree. I really liked the curriculum as it includes both practical knowledge and theory too. It's not theory heavy. Course includes some real life problems that I can relate very well..
