Vibrant campus life at Daulat Ram college

Likes

Being a women's college, it provide a supportive and empowering environment for female students and also promote for personal growth.
I mostly like the history department of my College because teachers were very interactive and they have a good experience.
This college provide many extra curricular activities and societies are very active.

Dislikes

I don't like the principal of daulat ram , she is not active and don't take action fastly
The maintenance of the restroom and classroom are not good.
The food provides in canteen and the maintenance of canteen are also not good.

Fees and Financial Aid:

My annual college fees is 19000 approx and whole course fees is 60k . My college provide many scholarship but mainly it was for EWS, physically disabled and St , SC and also there was departmental scholarship. And who fulfilled the criteria of scholarship get the concession of 7k - 8k . My course fees have decreased approx 1k but the fees for the new admission have increased,and the fees also get fluctuate some times due to the inclusion of scholarship to some students.

Likes

Campus areas are good offer a typical college vibe.
Some faculties are genuinely helping and supportive towards students.

Dislikes

some colleges lack basic drinking water facilities due to which students have to suffer.

Placement Experience:

My college offers placements to the students. There is a particular cell which is dedicated towards providing placement opportunities and internship opportunities to the students. There is also a placement fair organised in my college in which 40 companies participated and offer internship opportunities to first and second year students and placement opportunities to third year students.

Daulat ram college - one of the best college of north campus

So first of all its about the location..as it lies in north campus .you get the exposure. And can enjoy the north campus vibes having a variety of students with diversity
The second thing i liked the most is its faculty. Commerce faculty is genuinely helpful and frank which helps in fostering a positive environment.
As it is a girls college. I like the environment here .its not toxic at all and girls can feel safe here without any worry .

Dislikes

I would say the first thing i disliked is its infrastructure..all colleges lying in north campus have a very good infrastructure. But drc somehow lacks behind when it comes to infrastructure
The next thing is the canteen food..although its getting better now plus the water cooler do not have clean and hygenic water to drink .
Fee hike is also a thing...all the colleges in north campus have a fee of 14 to 15k regardless of their course.but drc makes it till 34k so that makes it difficult for some people to pay the fees.

As i was a student with commerce background. Although i wanted to pursue bcom hons but due to my cuet score i got alloted bcom program which is fair enough .my score for cuet was 743 and i was of general category. I would suggest that the subjects like financial management and business statistics should have been more practical which is already applicable in our college. So exams are conducted twice a year 1st in dec jan and second in april and june

College campus is very attractive and best faculty for science stream
My faculty teachers are very helpful to the student
Many more internship are provided by daulat ram college

Dislikes

Commerce Department doesn't exist, now it is in progress
College timing are not favourable for long distance student
College room are smaller than the strength of the student

Placement Experience:

Placement are offered by the Daulat ram college of good companies like wipro, dell, paytm, hcl etc. If you doesn't get placement through college, you can also directly apply in company for the employment opportunities

Helpful faculty, Average facilities, Good campus life, Best library.

Likes

The college faculty was very amiable and helpful, including the laboratory staff.
The rules and regulations were neither too strict nor too lenient.
The library was the best thing about the college.

Dislikes

The classroom infrastructure wasn't up to the mark.
The canteen served stale food to students at times.
The clerical staff wasn't very approachable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well prepared but there was an issue of time management. Proper tests couldn't be held before exams due to the syllabus being too bulky to finish on time. The classes could have been a little more interactive if the syllabus was reduced a bit.

Daulat Ram College Review

Likes

The campus life of DRC is fun and the environment is student friendly which allows them to grow.
Academic structure of Daulat ram college is pretty serious and professors are knowledgeable and expert in their field.
Daulat Ram college provides financial incentives and scholarships which are funded by the Govt and the fees of this college is affordable

Dislikes

The Placement of the college is not satisfactory and does not provide that huge packages.
Infrastructure is still under construction , the commerce building has not been built after it was tore down
The Societies does exist but their funding is not regular and the administration do not pay heed to much of their requests.

Placement Experience:

Campus Placements vary according to the college. DRC does conduct its placement fair but the companies that are present are not that known or famous. The average package is 12Lakh and the highest package has gone up to 30Lakhs, After the degree, students can go for corporate via MBA or also plan on giving NET who plan on going in the teaching field.

Life at DRC- is it worth your time and energy

Likes

The organisations of fest is good, it's interactive and full of enthusiasm.
The few newly renovated classrooms have ACs which is a must in Delhi's summers.
The faculty is nice, approachable and understanding.

Dislikes

The class schedules are horrible. At times there are classes with a gap ranging from 2 to 4 hours which takes up the entire day for a 2 hour lecture.

Campus placements are given to students who are in their 3rd year. Several companies like KPMG, Zomato, Deloitte, Byju's, Pwc, Bajaj Capital, etc. visit the campus and make several offers. The highest package was 21.5L in 2023 whereas the average was 6.5L. The profiles include data, finance, HR and management, consultancy, education, sales and marketing, etc. 110+ students received offer letters in 2023.

Life at DRC, DU.

Likes

The faculty for my course is pretty nice
Canteen food is also nice and all the presence of Nescafe and amul makes it better
There is no issue for attendance in my clg

Dislikes

The infrastructure is too small and ground is far set from campus
There is so less sports opportunities for other only nso people avail most benefits

Course Curriculum Overview:

Coming from a commerce background and being sure that I want to do MBA bcom hons from Du was the choice for me. It's a good course. It provives all domains like accounts, law, management as core and as additional we get opportunity of choosing from other department subjects like English, mathematics, economics etc.

Campus vibes are really nice, places near north campus the markets are good
I like some of my teachers also as they r so knowledgeable
I like my college somewhere because development in sciences is good

I dislike the chain snatching phone snatching things around the campus
I hate the sec vac subject and some teacher look forward them as mains
I really hate that seminars also provide attendance to us

I think zoology as a subject does not help us to deal with real time problems thats why i cant say much about it, but yes i find this new education policy as a flop model i dont find it right to give 7 subjects to a person its not making our degree multidisciplinary but its making it a master of none kinda situation

Reality of Daulat Ram College

Likes

College playground is very nice and nice and there is construction Going on to make it more beautiful.
Teacher Teaching is good. Class happen on Regular basis.

Dislikes

Teacher absent without informing us earlier. They don't give us proper marks. College Canteen food is also bad not worth it.
Old classroom is very bad and small. It is feel like conjugate without any Ac facilitaties abd fan ids also not working properly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is same for every college in Delhi University. Course curriculum is good it help us to increase our knowledge it is planned according to New Education Policy. It is not easy and not too tough. B.Com hons is famous in Delhi University and DRC ranked 13.
