As we all know economics is a subject that opens a lot of opportunities for students. The curriculum prepares me for real-world applications by learning the subjects practically and getting to know about the things in general that no one else has told me. The syllabus should be less as there is a lot of pressure on students as we have our semester exams after every 3-month time span. This is a very difficult course and it needs a lot of time for preparation as well as understanding.

Exams are held in semester wise or we can say that twice a year. A good quality of materials is provided by the teaching staff, provides assignments and always teaches students by connecting them with the world around them .

This course has a nice career. Although it needs hard work from the very beginning. But this course is very interesting. It needs good statistical knowledge. Our department has 3 teachers for core subjects All the faculties have a PhD degree We have semesters exams and they are quite an application based and not that easy
I chose eco hons because I really like the subject. The faculty student ratio is good and teachers are very smart and understanding. Most of the teachers are post graduates and PhD holders, so they are highly qualified. The term exams are taken in every subject and are not very easy but not very tough either. So, overall the entire experience in Daulat Ram College is appreciable.
I had humanities in my 12th and I opted for maths as my 5th paper. After going through the eligiblity criteria i got to know its important to have maths in 12th to be eligible for pursuing economics honours. Economics has a lot of career scope and DRC has one of the best faculties so i chose Economics. The faculty teacher ratio is 1:40. Teachers are higly qualified. Most of them have done PHD and have a teaching exprience of more than 10-15 years. In one semester exams are taken twice . One is a mid semester exam ( unit test) another is semester exam taken in december and may. Exams are difficult . Sometimes questions are really difficult . I have taken tuitions also.
The faculty: student ratio depends on the number of admissions. For some classes, it was 30:1, while for some, it was 45:1. Most of the Teachers are either having a master's or a Ph.D. Exams are held twice a year. It isn't difficult to pass the exam.
I had a profound interest in Economics since the day it was introduced to me. The curiosity to gain knowledge about the economy combined with my analytical bend of mind makes this subject truly fascinating. The faculty: student ratio is 1:60. DRC has well-experienced and qualified teaching faculty. Because of the pandemic, the college admissions started very late off and the term exams got postponed. Talking about the examination question papers, they were very much doable.
