the faculty to student ratio is quite good but varies from department to department. On average it is 1:15. There are 4 to 5 exams in a semester per course. 6-7 courses and 1-2 lab courses are normally there.exams are quite moderate and practical based.

The faculty to student ratio is very low. But the faculties are very much friendly and approachable. They reply to our emails as soon as possible. They guide us throughout our semesters. Dr. Arnab Mukherjee and Dr. Anirban Hazra are the best professors for chemistry. Their way of teaching is very much understandable by everyone. Dr. Mayurika lahiri is very much grades oriented and she prejudice students based on that. In a semester, we have few quizzes and assignments in every course along with a mid semester and an end semester exam for each and every course.

The faculty members are very nice. And their natures are very nice. It is also good that they teach very well. Interships are provided in many types of courses. A professor does not fail by one mark in college.

Basically the professor come in lecture hall and give us lecture, and you can ask your doubt in mid of lectures ir after lecture. As most of prof have done their post doc so they have to do their own research, so they are busy in it. But you can approach them by simply sending a mail and they give you time and solve your doubt. Also there is small batch making in a total batch of 270 student which is divided into batch of 30 student each and a a guy come who is doing phd now will solve your doubt and revise all the stuff which the prof has done. Also there is timely quiz happen which they check and tell us how to do the exam. In short they are helping hand for students.
The faculties here are very well experienced. a PhD is the basic criteria along with quality research experience. Most faculties have completed their postdoc in some of the finest universities both in India and abroad. Many faculties may even be the heads of various organisations in the Indian government.
The faculty is excellent and wise and conceptually strong. We have a credit-based educational system like autonomous institutions. The teachers mostly did PhDs and post-Docs abroad and are excellent students and some are alumnus from IITs and IISc and MIT in the USA and reputed other universities. We have a tie-up with Cipla. There is also an active student exchange program for internships.
The faculty are highly qualified, each having immense research and teaching experience. A majority of them are world class scientists with a equal focused attitude towards teaching and developing a scientific aptitude in their students.
Each course has one main coordinator and may have one or more faculty for some specific part of the course. The assessment of the exams are mostly done by the T.A.
