The college management is transparent in its decisions however unacceptable the decision may be.

The course curriculum is highly flexible as there is no fixed syllabus for the courses. Each year the syllabus and course content is determined by the present course coordinator considering the latest advancements in the field. During the course of our study, we have a lot of opportunities to work with our faculties, who are leading researches renowned both nationally and internationally. This helps us to get a glimpse of a research career before getting into it completely.

The majority of the graduates go for a career in research. Most start their PhD or will go for industrial research. We have collaboration with companies like CIPLA. The foreign relations office helps students get internships in various countries. The high profiles of the faculties often help students in securing good research positions.

Karavaan is the arts and science fest of our institute which happens in the FALL semester. Due to the diversity of our community, we celebrate almost all the Indian festivals which will be coordinated by various students. Of all the festivals celebrated, Onam and Holi are the ones with maximum student participation.

Fee payment is made through a portal created by the institute in collaboration with a bank. The fee structure was affordable initially but it is increased year by year due to the lack of funds from the government. The 2019 batch has a semester fee greater than Rs. 50000, while 2018 passed out batch, has a semester fee of around Rs. 10000. The fee payment is transparent and the distribution is clearly shown on the website.

The college initially offered scholarships for all the students. But it was limited to a few students due to the lack of fund. I'm not availing any scholarship.

The gender ratio suggests that the majority of students are male. Gender discrimination is prevalent here. Although there are various councils set up to prevent this, it's not working fully due to the members involved. We have an option for a lot of extracurricular activities including various arts club, sports clubs etc. We have a nice Cricket stadium, football ground, basketball court, volleyball court and an indoor sports complex for badminton and basketball. There is also a gym and various board games.

Yes. IISER Pune is a residential campus and all students should stay on campus. There are twin sharing rooms with common bathrooms and toilets for the BS-MS students. The hostel rooms are more than enough for all the students and can also house other students coming to the campus for various programs. The hostel is well equipped for students life to expect poor maintenance on certain floors.

The alumni network is strong and spread all over the world. They help in securing good internships and research positions.

There are 3 ways to get admission to this institute; the KVPY stream, JEE main Stream and the iiser aptitude test. I got admitted through the iiser aptitude test. I had dropped a year for my medical entrance preparations and gave the iiser aptitude test after giving all other entrance exams. I choose this course because of its high flexibility.

The faculties here are very well experienced. a PhD is the basic criteria along with quality research experience. Most faculties have completed their postdoc in some of the finest universities both in India and abroad. Many faculties may even be the heads of various organisations in the Indian government.
