An honest College Review

Likes

The management team is amazing, they are very helpful
The infrastructure is nice and their are hostels canteens stationary etc for usage
The teachers are very passionate and are very helpful

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides many benefits and the college has a good reputation and the field itself has many benefits including the library and the book bank services. Exams are taken twice in the form of internals and externals The curriculum is well structured and thoughtfully designed to provide both theoretical depth and practical exposure it integrates core law subjects with humanities subjects and interdisciplinary approach help students understand the social economic and political context in which law of rates making the learning more meaningful and application oriented.

MAIMS is Mesmerizing!!

Likes

Not just the fun events but even educational events are organised every now and then.
A special library called the spiritual library has been built and a yoga centre too and it is available to students for free.
Guest lectures by dignitaries of law are organised in our auditorium every month.

Dislikes

Too strict attendance and that's seriously the saddest part about of our college.

From fourth year, students have completed 6-7 internships and that's give the employers a fair idea and that is how placements happen from our college. Top private law firms are the major ones that provides jobs and some corporate houses too include some freshers in their already existing legal team.

Likes

No hidden charges included everything is covered in the fees
Faculty is very good and they teach really well
The classrooms are very well maintained and good infrastructured

Dislikes

Less fun events are organised , educational events are organised often
No fests or dandiya nights,dj nights are there

Likes

The time to time infrastructure improvements that the college initiates is appreciable.
Various events for the betterment of the students and faculty as well
Availability of Spiritual library and awareness towards yoga.

Dislikes

The strictness towards the attendance at the college.

Placement Experience:

Placement opprtunities provided by the college are pretty generous. It has tie ups with many significant law firms and companies. The placement procedure in itself is very extensive with pre-placement talks which help to groom students for the journey they are to embark upon. A pre interview screening process is also conducted to prepare students for their final interview. After completion of the course various other opportunities are also available such as internships at courts and lawfirms to gain more experience of the courts.

I liked the infrastructure of the college .
I also liked the faculty and the crowd of the college.
One will find all the facilities in the campus and which is good for students to accommodate in the environment.

Placement Experience:

The placements are also good from what I heard and have seen as iam a first year student. There are number of companies which are good for placements in this college and a good percentage of students get placed in these companies every year

My college , became my dream college.

Likes

This is afflicted college have its own campus and it actually feels different from other ipu colleges .
There are many societies working independently which you can enroll for other activities.
The accomodation is also given and it is pro hindu college.

Dislikes

The teachers have no experience in teaching , and no expertise
In law , there's a fake placement cell which is of zero value
The overall teaching is not good , and have to study on your own

Course Curriculum Overview:

The overall law course is good indeed the college provide limited infrastructure for your legal studies and also have its own legal services clinic but there is no exposure as such as no one visits the place. The teachers should be more experienced and by this the college ranking would be much more higher than it is right now. The frequency and timing of exams are somewhat similar to that of other colleges and is deriving its exam dates from the IPU main campus date sheet only.

MAIMS is a mile ahead of others

Likes

First thing first and that being academics, it is one of the best in Maims, if compared with its peers like VIPS or Surajmal.
The area is big and has all the bases covered that are required in a student journey.
Multiple canteens and all serve food which enables our parents to don't wake up early and prepare our lunch boxes.

Dislikes

The nearest metro station from our college is Rohini and that too is some 4 miles, so unless one has their own vehicle commuting becomes tough.

Placement Experience:

From 4th year, our CV is being sent to T&P department. As per our CV and internships experiences we are placed and students who have done internships in A tier firms like Khaitan, Tatva Legal, Trilegal are preferred above others. A&ZB and Khaitan have been top recruiting law firms from corporate companies like Hero Group, Maruti, and Bajaj Group have been hiring top students with an average package of 6-7LPA.

Life within MAIMS

Likes

Faculty is quite supportive and would help with regular checks on students. They are punctual as well and no teacher took a lot of leaves.
There are lots of cultural societies in the college which are helpful for character development of a student
College facilities have drastically improved. There are AC's, a proper common ground along with a table tennis court and Basketball court.

Dislikes

Faculty was fairly new and didn't have much experience in teaching as the Law program was recently introduced in the college.
Fees was increased after 1st year and even though the students protested, nothing happened.

Placement Experience:

College placement is provided and it is done for every student. The placement platform is set up students and alumni and there is a different Placement cell that does all that. It also provides with internships and the college is really good in that.

Law department at Maims

Likes

great faculty which is well experienced and their way of teaching is very good
good crowd who are well educated and are hard working
campus is good and very engaging u can do many things within the campus itself

Dislikes

it is having a small campus and a very large crowd
in the good students there are a few people who are not good and are spoiling the environment
there is 85% reservation for the people who are from delhi

Placement Experience:

the placement from by college is below average as no firms related to law come to the college and hire people/ students from the college but then there are many seniors who opt for off campus placements and they are doing very nice in their life

All about maims

Likes

It's connectivity with places and easy to get transport and pg and flats for students.
College also provide sports facilities and ncc...apart from it canteens and big campus for peace.
Academic wellness and societies made for students

Dislikes

College has less seats for law student only 180 for ballb and bballb has 300 max
Big timetable and strictness in study makes it sometimes hectic for students
Attendance problem with minimum attendance of 75 perce8

You can be eligible for placement in 8th sem and apart from campus placement there are options of off campus placements, civil services, and judiciary is a field where every law student try their luck atleast 1 time. Like I am personally thinking for upsc and second option as litigation. Highest package of college for law is about 10 lacs and avg is 5 lacs...about 70 percent placement guarantee is there and roi of college is also good..many law firms and companies come to seek newbies

Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies (MAIMS) is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and is considered to be amongst the top 10 institutes to pursue BBA. MAIMS established in 2003 is spread over a 10-acre area, and has a total seat break-up for 240 students and a teacher to student ratio of 1:20.

Courses & Eligibility:

The courses offered under BBA are:

BBA (General)- Fees: 2.64 lacs
