Students are also very extroverts, and staffs are free, can talk to them like our friends
Not Very Strict, and not very regular in Timing, Classes can be shifted according to the students availability and ofcourse of the staffs

Dislikes

If u have any backlash or target with the staff, you may not be clearing the subject until they forgive you or feel to make you pass

Faculty:

Very Good, interactive, friendly, my fav faculty is my programming lab staff who is very free and is enjoyable to talk with him. no need to hold back, talk with anyone and some staffs might be terrefic to talk with and they are not good with students it is easy to clear all exam if u study well and the course is very well made much better than the normal curriculam for other colleges

PTU in Detail

Almost all faculties are PhD scholars who studied in prestigious institutes.

Almost all faculties are PhD scholars. For a class of 60 students, there are 2 assigned faculties as class advisor and assistant, apart from subject faculties, and we also have heads of departments and deens for each department so the ratio is good. Course curriculum follows NEP 2020 and is updated to date and is the most relevant. Arrear ratio is very less in PTU and almost all students are guaranteed degree and job in prestigious companies or higher studies in prestigious institutes.

Life in Pondicherry Technological University

Some faculties are good they will be friendly meanwhile some just come and go for namesake . The courses change according to the system and most staff are temporarily staff. And regarding exams there will be 3 CAT (Assessment test) and 2 assignment and 1 midsem for internal marks they will also consider attendance Mark (it is for 5) so totally 40 marks for internals and remaining 60 is for practical and theory . The exam fees should be paid when they ask you normally it is 250 for theory paper and 350 for practical paper and 100 for grade sheet . So if you have 4 theory and 3 practical the exam fees will be around 2150 for a semester and it changes accordingly to the semester and number of courses

Life around PTU

Some teachers dont show that much interest towards teaching

Idk much about the faculty to student ratio , the faculty to student relationship is not bad , some teachers treat students so good meanwhile some dont , they are approachable . There are 8 sems and not many have arrears , so it's good

Not worth the investment

Student to faculty ratio is around 10:1 ig If it comes to faculties , some are too good and some are too bad , can't even understand what they are teaching . My favourite teacher is Ajay sir in first year , he used to teach so well , so clear and like everyone usually understands and he used to boosts our interest in a particular subject , he used to take BEE here. Then, Nithyanandhan sir in our branch he take Circuits and networks, electronic Circuits design .he is literally a father of all teachers in our branch. His teaching way is soo appreciable , he used tell practical applications for each and every concept thts how he attract us towards his teaching and i really learnt a lott and learnig also. Yea here some teacgers are not gud tho , they just recite what there in ppt thts it. Exams are easy only like for me They conduct 3 Cats ( cummulatibe assessment test) ( internals) out of which they consider average of best 2 . For 25 marks . Then end sem for 60 marks , total 40( internals) + 60 = 100 marks

My experience as a EEE student.

The teachers use both PPT and blackboard type of teaching.

Every class consists of 55 students for which a class advisor is allocated.As a student of EEE I don't like 2 teachers ( N.P.Sibraminium and arunolsalame). You get two semesters a year and each semester thas 5-6 theory papers.

1- The faculty to students relationship are very good and they provide lots of good things and their experience that are so motivational and inspirational 2- My HOD Sir is my best professor because he completely working and hardwork for students, what students are expecting that all he do very nice 3- Three to four staff is there they are completely against boys and good character with some guys so don't like that 4- They are 7 semester is there and The exams like 1 or 2 paper will tough otherwise it is easy only. In my class totally 53 students mainly 19 to 15 members fail each semester . It's relevant and industry focused and ,with the focus on practical learning

All the faculty members are P.hd graduates and has more experience over 10+ years. The faculty-to-student ratio is for 50 students there is one faculty. overall department has 25 main + 3 contract faculty for 300 students. The best facult is one who teaches fluid mechanics for me . the way he teaches is quite easily understabdable. Exam structure in my college is of it has 8 semesters. each semester has 6-8 exams. First year exams are common for all branches.

Yeah we follow the old syllabus but now they introduced nee syllabus which they started studying the core subjects from the first semester onwards which is very good . And faculties also good except one or two faculties.
