PTU in Detail

The curriculum follows NEP 2020 which is the newest and most relevant curriculum the Indian government provides at the moment and all departments are accredited by NBA. This proves that students are thoroughly prepared for corporate and real-world problems.

Top companies are always ready to pick students of PTU for internships and opportunities for jobs. Various IT companies and upcoming groups like Capgemini always focus on PTU students and give them the career boost they deserve.

PTU focuses on both research and placements, readying students for both the corporate world and self-development for higher studies or entrepreneurship. Top companies including Google, PayPal, etc. have taken students of PTU with high salary packages, one with around 40 LPA. Students are also made ready for higher studies in reputed institutes based on their interests.

Yearly fee structure of PTU is Rs 162401 for students applied through JoSAA. This is the sum of all types of fees per year in total. SC/ST or people applying through CENTAC will pay around Rs 50000 a year.

PTU has a wide range of clubs and tons of events and activities are conducted here. Students have the best college life in 4 years at PTU and show their interests and skills in various cultural activities, club events, workshops, projects, etc. No extracurricular activity is missed in PTU and all talented students are given many opportunities to shine.

I applied to NITs and several GFTIs through JoSAA, and got PTU for my JEE score and rank. My initial thought was PTU is nothing when compared to NITs but my mindset was totally tilted when I became aware of PTU records and histories of alumnis, placements, etc.

Almost all faculties are PhD scholars. For a class of 60 students, there are 2 assigned faculties as class advisor and assistant, apart from subject faculties, and we also have heads of departments and deens for each department so the ratio is good. Course curriculum follows NEP 2020 and is updated to date and is the most relevant. Arrear ratio is very less in PTU and almost all students are guaranteed degree and job in prestigious companies or higher studies in prestigious institutes.

I'm not a hostel student. But PTU has a library with around 20k books, a huge ground for sports activities, shopping area, temple, and a huge forest area comprising the ins and outs of wildlife. Rules and guidelines are thoroughly practiced in hostels for students' safety.
