Likes

This College has a good ground facility.
The teachers use both PPT and blackboard type of teaching.
All the teachers provide guidance personally for placement

Dislikes

The infrastructure of the departments are not good
The roads inside the College is in bad condition
The bathrooms are not in a good condition.

Course Curriculum Overview

I wish to pursue a career in electrical department sa I choose this course.The course must be improved by adding more practical exams which increases the real world applications.The exams difficulty will depends on the paper setting teachers.

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 13500 per year

Internships Opportunities

You can do internship in the college itself in the ATAL INCUBATION CENTRE.I have done a internship in ATAL in basic of Arduino board and another intership in ridsys.I have gained a great experience through the internship.

Placement Experience

This College provides placement option you can attend placement in the seventh semester.Tge average placement package is 4-4.5 lakhs per annum,the highest package is 12 lakh per annum.More than 60% of students getting placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Every student who joined the College through CENTAC(a pondicherry based Government organization to allocate College based on 12 th mark)needs to pay 13500 every year.This fees excludes only the semester exam fees.

Campus Life

You have a main college function and a main sports event every year and several small department function every year like pongal celebration,holi etc. You have several clubs for the development of students like photography club, design club etc.

Admission

I choose this College instead of other colleges because it is the best Government engineering college in the town of PONDICHERRY.There is no entrance exam to join this College, admission to the College is through CENTAC and JOSHA .

Faculty

Every class consists of 55 students for which a class advisor is allocated.As a student of EEE I don't like 2 teachers ( N.P.Sibraminium and arunolsalame). You get two semesters a year and each semester thas 5-6 theory papers.

Night Life

The College has gym facility but it is access is allowed only to hostellers.It has a decent canteen facility.The campus will be open from 9 am- 6 pm.College ground is the place I hangout the most and the locality is safe.

Know About Puducherry Technological University

Placement Experience:

By 7th Semester, students are eligible for Campus Placements and there are several companies that have visited our college during a course of 2-3 months and there were many offers made, highest package was of 9.5 LPA and the average is of 5-6LPA Students are getting Placed very well, and i have place already so my plan is to get into the job and excell in the IT Sector

I got into SMVEC First, after a month later, i got into my current college PTU in which everything was better than SMVEC, SMVEC is a lot more like a school, while PTU is more like a college where the staffs dont consider about any rules, but they be on time and perfect when it comes to studies.
