There was no entrance for this university,I got admitted through my +2 mark. After my higher secondary, I decided to go for Mechanical Engineering as I am fond of cars and Engines. Admission process is mere simple. Depends on the rank you get there will be allocated time for you. They will call you in a meeting hall you need to select the course which you want to study. For other states student who are non-resident of Pondicherry you must write AIEEE to get seats in this college.

This college comes under Pondicherry University now it is autonomous. The syllabus which had was almost par equal with National institution standard. PEC offer B.tech, M.tech,MBA courses.

Unfortunately, no I we didn't have an opportunity to have companies visit us for Internship rather we ought to contact companies personally. I and two others got trained in a well known steel manufacturing company. THe offered stipend was 5000 along with food.

As this is the one of the best college in South India,top-most companies came for the placement. TCS,Broadcom,HCL,Tech Mahindra, Larsen and Toubro,Wibro,Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd,Aricent,Satyam Auto Components to name a few. Out of this Broadcom offered the highest package. We were totally 545 in batch all dept combined, more than 450 got placed. Others didn't get opportunity to attend the placement as they didn't meet the criteria announced by the above companies. If anyone think of joining any course in this college, close your eyes and join. You will go places.

The college encourage sports and cultural activities as much as it gives for academic skill. Technical symposium will be organised by both students and faculty. When there was any guest lecturer,faculty made sure that it is like question-answer session unlike a boring seminar. The college had one of the famous cultural activity, PEC-O-FES an annual cultural meet. We got from college and event sponsor from private companies,like we got HCL sponsor for 2010 fest.

This is a government intuition so the annual fee and other fees are comparably less. It is not expensive at all in any cost. There will be no hidden charges which is regular in some colleges. Annual fee will come around 30,000 Exam fee Theory 100 paper, Practical 150 paper.

I didn't apply for any scholarships except for the allowance we get to attend other college symposium. College will help you in getting scholarships if you're eligible. Talking about loans not that I know of.

There is no gender discrimination. The college support extra-curricular activities such as literary meme club. The college has literary which conduct debate,quiz ever now and then and the prizes are sponsored by Pondicherry University. Students from many places(Andhra,Kerala,Manipur,Jharkhand,New Delhi and Bangalore pursue courses here. So, there are chances for learning new culture,language and many. The college has Robotic club where the robotic workshops take place every Saturday. Irrespective of departments,people from all departments attend the workshop. No. The college doesn't have any election such as Secretary,Student leader. Every position will be decided by the early performance,activities they involved in previous years.

Hostels located walkable distance to the college which are inside. There is no single room for anyone until prefinal year. Only in final semester,single rooms will be allocated. Having stayed for four years,I can surely say this is BEST. Rooms are spaciou

Seniors yes. A lot If you get in touch with them during the college,they will be helpful. Alumni network no. This is one thing that I feel the college should take care of. There is alumni association which is never active nor conduct any activities inside college. We were asked to pay some amount for the alumni association but never heard after that.

Exams are of 3-hrs and the schedule they make would have at least two-day gap for each exams. With that time we could able to revisit and study everything for following exams.
