Pondicherry Technological University offers a variety of scholarship programs and financial aid options to its students, primarily based on merit and financial need. Students from Puducherry admitted through the CENTAC system benefit from significantly reduced fees, around INR 13,000-35,800 per year, while those admitted through JoSAA pay approximately INR 1,50,000-1,64,000 annually. Scholarships are available for SC/ST, minority, and financially disadvantaged students through state and central government schemes, such as the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department program and the Perunthalaivar Kamarajar fund, which can cover tuition fees.
The college facilitates educational loans through banks like Canara Bank, and alumni associations also provide financial support. Exam fees are additional, ranging from INR 150 to INR 250 per subject. Although the college does not provide scholarships for general category students, it supports applications for external scholarships, such as the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and AICTE scholarships like Pragati. Hostel fees range from INR 60,000 to INR 75,000 per year.
Despite the differential fee structure, the college is known for its affordability compared to other institutions, especially for local students.
