Likes

Various big companies offering a good package comes to college every year and a good number of student get placements every year.
A good faculty having a great mentor skills and expertise in different subjects, teachers are helpful and coordinator.
There are not as many fests as in other colleges but we do have a good number of clubs and societies that makes college life interesting and exciting.

Dislikes

The annual fest is very nice and happening but the regular college life is close to hell if you are an average student.
The fines are more in this college and students faces a lot of problems
The professors are unfriendly and sometimes very rude and not understanding. also i find them pretentious.

St Xaviers College(Autonomous) Kolkata review from a students pov

Likes

The teaching staff and non teaching staff is very supportive. They have various assignments and projects which we can work on and have a brief idea of the practical world
They host various co curricular activities that help in boosting overall personality of the students. Various events help in getting up that stage performance
Lots and lots of courses to choose from and its one of yhe top 5 colleges in India

Dislikes

The Technology used for teaching can be improved.
Lack of Aur Conditioning in classrooms make it difficult in summers
Attendance Policy is too strict should Give the students a little leniency in it

The placement cell of the college has personally influenced me to join this college because the course I've opted in does not provide a lot of placements and the market for the job is saturated so the chances of getting placed through in campus placements made my job easier as to select this college

The college is very active both academically and in extra curricular.
Their are many societies which give exposure and opportunity to students
The locations of the college is good as it is one of the prime locations of kolkata.

Dislikes

Their is alot of competition both academically and in general
Their are no ACs in classrooms like some have and some dont
their is no lift to go upstairs like my cls is at 4th floor.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Everyweek like on saturdays we have presentations where students have to put up presentations infront of the whole class helping them to overcome their stage fear. Difficulty level of paper is also moderate.

Likes

The societies in the college have great potenial and you find students with a lot of talent in these societies. The societies also provide a lot of opportunities for overall development and growth.
The morning batch of the Bcom H course is suitable if you are pursuing any professional course as your classes are over by 10am.

Dislikes

The morning course specifically has a very dull environment which makes it very difficult to socialize.
The infrastructure of the college is very outdated as the college is very old

The course curriculum under nep is very rigid and the BcomH course of St. Xavier's College is considered as a tough course among students. The syllabus is vast and also the difficulty level of the examinations of this college is quite challenging.
