Pros & Cons About Bangabasi College

Likes

Teachers are very helpful,course is good and Big things is coming BIG COMPANIES like TCS, Bisleri,etc.

Dislikes

Placement Process & Salary is not good . Toilet and bathroom are not clean.

Hostel Facilities:

You get a bed, fan, light, water all things in a room. (2 bedrooms or 4 bedrooms). The meal is greater than Average. You can get one-time meat, 5 time fish and egg and vegetables in a week. For registration, go to Calcutta University-Main Campus 1st Floor Office and rent 200-500 per month. Surya Sen Street is the best place for Hostel.

Hostel Facilities:

Students who belong to a far distance or want to get a self dependent atmosphere can apply for Hostels or PGs as it helps them to get a comfortable & productive lifestyle along with their Academics.The annual expenses for accommodation services is nearly INR 5,000- 10,000 and I think it is pretty affordable because that's not that high to put additional burden on a student's Finances.

College journey in my life

Hostel Facilities:

My house near by my college. College situated at sealdah and I leave at park circus so there are no communication gap to my house to college. I daily journeyed by train and attend my morning first class at 6.45 am.

Insights OF Bangabasi Morning

Hostel Facilities:

Nope, there's no hostel facilities available for this college. But I stayed at hostel in my last year of graduation (3rd year) which is a minority hostel provided by University of Calcutta. The charges of hostel is pretty low due to govt. facilities. The hostel named 'University Carmichael Hall', is allotted on the basis of the distance between your college and your original residence. Those, who lived far from kolkata, i.e. those from North Bengal get the advantage. University takes the whole hostel charge in advance which is around 1.5-2k per year. This hostel is very much affordable and one of the top hostels of West Bengal.

Hostel Facilities:

Very good food and hostel facilities.They provide every type of facilities . It is a well mannered hostel where every student have to maintain a discipline in the hostel. Each room consists of 3 students and provide every type of facilities to the students which they want.

Likes

The teachers are very helpful and polite . A regular student is always pampered by the teachers.
The hospitality, the approach and helpful nature of seniors

Dislikes

The washrooms..are too dirty and shallow
Some staffs are too rude when asked something

Campus Life:

My campus life till now have been wonderful . The my friend my classmates my seniors are very helpful to me and it is very wonderful experience to stay with them. The seniors from the Student Union also are helping and caring. The events takes place in our college and very wonderful like the Teachers Day ,the social ,the feast ,the festival celebrations of Durga Puja, raksha Bandhan and many more. There are numerous clubs in our college. Though I am not a part of any of them but but I really envy the students who are part of it. Our college also provides NCC training and you can also join numerous sports as per your interest.

College fest are held 3-4, times in a year And festivals are celebrated accordingly Books are enough as there is a library for student who wants to borrow books Sports and clubs are also there and there is also a particular day for sports called sports day

Bangabasi Evening College Overview

Likes

As it was an Evening College attendance was not an issue.
Teachers were very helpful and would help you whenever they want.

Dislikes

For Payment of fees there were long queues
and for Submission of Projects you have to wait in Lines for hours.

Campus Life:

There were 3 colleges one in evening, Morning and Day and there were festivals celebrated and a fresher party was also organised. The library is good the books are available out taking books is a difficult task. Extra Curricular activities are offered but I never applied for them.

Likes

Good infrastructure and helpful attitude of the officials.
The Fees structure which is very affordable for any middle class student.

Dislikes

The campus is too much congested and the nearby roads are very dirty.
Studies could have been better as compared to other colleges.

Campus Life:

The College conducts many cultural programs like Rabindra Jayanti, Basanta Utsav, Independence Day, etc. It also conducts an Anual Sports every year. There is also a Freshers' Party for the newcomers. The College Library houses many books which acts as study material to the students. There are social clubs like Photography Club, Drama Club, etc. are present in the college

The union rooms of bangabasi college needs a bit of renovation i would say.

The club activities in bangabasi college is really really good. If you're in a club then also you'll be able to enjoy it's facilities and events and if you're not involved then also you'll be able to enjoy the activities. The singing club specially is responsible for bringing up great singer like K.K, Darshan Raval and many more to the college fest and freshers.
