Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) Pune is a private institute established in 2002. It is affiliated with SPPU and accredited with an “A” grade by NAAC. The following facilities are given by VIIT to the students:

Library: There is a Central library in the Institute which consists of latest text books, reference books, hand-books, journals, periodicals, proceedings CDs, etc. It also consists of Reference Section, Journal Section, Reading Hall, Digital library section, Multimedia Facility, Stack-Room etc. Photocopy Services and many more also available in the Library. Book availability search in the library is fully computerized through the SLIM system and can be done from any LAN connected PC on Campus.

Hostel: VIIT Pune has 2 girls' hostels and 1 boys' hostel. The girls hostels have a capacity of 140 and 120 students respectively, while the boys' hostel accommodates 292 students. The Hostel has transport facilities, Solar Heaters, Wi-Fi Facility, Medical Facilities, TV Facilities and many more. There is a separate hostel for Boys and Girls which has at least 100 rooms in it. The rooms have various facilities which provide greater satisfaction to the students. The Institute has 2 Canteens, 1 mess and coffee centre in the Campus which provides healthy food to the students.

Labs and Sports Complex: There are various labs at VIIT which are Civil Engineering Lab, Chemistry Lab, Computer Lab, Electronics Lab, Language Lab, Mechanical Lab, Physics Lab. VIIT has various sports provisions such as Chess boards, TT Tables, Playground and many sports are included in the Institute.

The college provides good placement with highest package of 44 lpa and average package of 7.5 lpa.
Overall campus is good with peaceful environment.
The faculty and teachers are very excellent.

The college has small campus because it is attached with other institutions of Vishwakarma group.
There is so much competition for jobs and internships.
The location of college is not good in terms of living.

The placement scenario at VIIT Pune is impressive, with students becoming eligible for placements from seventh semester. Renowned companies such as TCS, Accenture, Capgemini and L&T Infotech regularly visit campus, offering numerous jobs opportunities. The highest package offered last year was 44 lpa with average package of 7.5 lpa. The profile offered range from software development and data analysis to consultancy and core engineering roles. Around 85% students secure placements. My plans is to use my skills to become a software developer in future.

Internship opportunity in various organization

VIIT students benefit from wide range of intership opportunities that enhance their practical skills and industry knowledge. Renowned companies such as TCS, Accenture, Capgemini and Zensor etc. provides internships with roles such as software development, data analyst and consultant etc. often with stipends ranging from INR 10,000 to INR 20,000 per month.

Admission process and eligibility criteria

The admission process at VIIT Pune is well structured and straight forward. Eligibility for the course requires a strong academic background in PCM along with competitive scores in entrance exams like JEE mains and MHt-CET. The admission takes place through CAP rounds. The reservation benefits for SC/ST, OBC and EWS categories are available with scholarships.

My overall experience with campus life has been enriching and vibrant. The campus buzzes with social and cultural activities, with annual festivals like 'Vishwakarandak' and 'Vishwatech' typically held in February and March, respectively, offering a platform for students to showcase their talents. The library is well-stocked with books and journals. The classrooms are equipped with modern facilities. The campus also boasts sport facilities and extracurricular activities. Their are numerous clubs in college like GDSC, NSS, Rotaract etc. which helps in person as well as professional growth.

Students view on faculties

The faculties are having master degrees and PhD in their domains. The faculties are excellent in teaching and mentorship. They are always available to support the students. The faculty's approachability and willingness to assist students in both academic and professional pursuits significantly inhance the overall educational experience at VIIT college, Pune.

Students view on course curriculum

The course curriculum at VIIT offers a comprehensive and relevant theoretical and practical skills. It's focus on cutting-edge technologies, interdisciplinary projects and industry collaborations , significantly influenced my decision to take this course. The inclusion of advanced topics like artificial intelligence, data science and internet of things ensures that the students are well prepared for real world problems. However there is a need of providing more electives in order to allow students to tailor their education based on their interests. The exams are challenging, yet fair encouraging a deep understanding of the subject.

Because I got this only and I thought it would be fun here but the acas eis exactly opposite. Not much fun like nothing to do in clg. No proper sports facilities present and no badminton court .that's a big big issue

clubs like gfg ,gdg, ieee , nss are there to be a part on country level
Basic amenities are good enough to be used

Dislikes

the campus life of college is not good ,it does not even count.the fest happens once in a lifetime which lasts 5 days where it actually is of only 2 days to be proper hence no campus life.
Projectors of the class does not work properly
the app and website management is not good, it crashes constantly.

Admission:

the amenities and previous year placement of the college was good enough to stand consideration to opt it as well as it was creditted grade A college according to NAAC so it was more comparable to other colleges but the grade and placement now has fallen.

The library in college. As it have the reading room and studying room.

The garbage outside the college is not cleared well.

Admission:

I have considered this college because of its curriculum and industry based approach of teaching. Also compared to other colleges there are so many students club which is good. Also the exam system of the college is best other than other colleges. The admission is done through the cap rounds based on the marks of the students

The most important thing I liked is college placements and exposure that the college provides. The placements are excellent and studios students can easily get a good placement.

Admission:

I chose the college, because first I wanted to shift to Pune because of the exposure, and that was a right decision of mine. You get a lot of exposure. Second reason was that I wanted to do my BTech in AI and I was getting that branch in this college so i opted for this. The admission process was very simple and was completed in an hour or two.

Get to know about VIIT, Pune

Admission:

I applied for many colleges including COEP, PICT , PCCOE , VIT , VIIT , PVG , DY PATIL, AISSMS I got placed in PVG then DY Patil in CAP round 2 but due to distance issues And rest of other colleges i didn't get admission because of cutoff VIIT college i got from spot round

the campus is good with proper management. theres proper place to sit and chill like theres benches where under the trees where students can hangout in their free time

Dislikes

besides the college there is a small lane where students usually smoke around which make sit unsafe for clean students, also feels very hectic while pssing by
no proper parking system in the colllge especially for the four wheelers there is no parking and the two wheelers are also standing in the hot sun, parking syetm needs to be improved
the area in which the collge is located is very cheap, the thoughts of the people are not clean and the people are always showing their power of their localites

Admission:

i have also apllied for pit , coep , vit i didnt get those because of low score in mhtcet , admission process is quiet simple that is though mhtcet and jee, eligible exams aree jee and mhtect for acquiring this college

Cleanliness of classrooms could have been better

Admission:

I chose this college over others because of the placement statistics and curriculum structure and extra-curricular activities and the exam structure. I applied for PCCOE, PVG, COEP. I got a confirmed admission from PCCOE and PVG. I didn't get COEP, as I didn't have that much percentile. Scores of JEE and MHT-CET are accepted for my course.

Admission process is very simple after a cap round you need to visit the college with all original documents which is mentioned before the cap round like 10th 12 th marksheet, nationality, age and domancile , cast validity, cast certificate , aadhar card , 2-3 passport size photo and with dd of college fees O have chose these college because placement is good and faculty is helpful of these college

Campus size:as comaparing campuses of other mumbai colleges our college campus is decent we have a big playground ample of parking space for cars and have different parking for faculties and students ,departmental buildings are spacious

Admission:

1) I applied to VIT pune ,COEP pune ,PICT pune,CUMMINS ,PCCOE . I didnt get these colleges because i didnt have percentile for merit for that college i had 95.84 percentile and their cutoff for CS branch was 97 at that time which was difficult for me . 2)students can enroll in our college using MHTCET and JEE mains score .Through cet cell there are cap rounds total three and last one spot round (may have changed now).Apart from this there are no tests or exams to get an admission in this college

VIIT Pune offers admission to B.Tech, B.Tech (Lateral), M.Tech and Ph.D. programs. Admission to the B.Tech program is based on JEE Main and MHT-CET scores whereas admission to M.Tech is based on GATE Scores. VIIT Pune's Ph.D. Admission is based on merit in the written exam conducted by the institute followed by an interview round. For B.Tech admission, 85% of seats are reserved for Maharashtra state candidates through MHT CET, while the remaining 15% of seats are filled by All India candidates via the JEE Main scores. Candidates are offered admission through the state-level counselling process.
