Academics are not that good at VJTI MUMBAI it's harsh as VJTI is being top college in Maharashtra but it's true. The curriculum has changed from last year. But still, it's not that good, even the teachers aren't good we students have to study by ourselves and that's the point I didn't like about this college, being a topmost college this is not expected. Even practicals we students has to prepare by ourselves, so no practical knowledge is being served by college.

Some things are completely unrelated to engineering, while some are related to the course. Here we have ayurved which is kinda not useful for engineering students. We also have workshops which gives us real life hands on experience on machines.

My keen interest was in the Electronics Field that why I opted for this course. The curriculum is very vast, you have 6-7 subjects in each sem and 3-4 labs. So the college timetable is very hectic. After each 2 months, you have your exam mid sems and end sems and they are indeed difficult, so you have to prepare for these exams.

The curriculum on a suprising side felt great and much more relevant other than the subject of Engineering Graphics. Also the NEP policy by our government has been implemented in the college which has increased the relevance of our curriculum. Computer labs are quite advanced and innovation is also promoted in our college

The Mechanical in Vjti is mainly focused on application based learning. Various technical clubs were established under the guidance of faculties to provide real life experience for students. Also aling with that we can see the syllabus being updated every 4 years which is a good thing. As the trends are changing rapidly nowadays. Also if we are considering the inclusion of Artificial intelligence this can be done by opting these subject in optional choices.
