Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum on a suprising side felt great and much more relevant other than the subject of Engineering Graphics. Also the NEP policy by our government has been implemented in the college which has increased the relevance of our curriculum. Computer labs are quite advanced and innovation is also promoted in our college

Internships Opportunities

4

Internships are usually offered after the completion of 3rd year so I may not be exact with the details but as far as I know; the number of internships offered are not in comparison with placement and almost 50% being non-paid but yes students with high cgpa bag internships by Google or top companies

Placement Experience

5

Mostly circuital branches have about 100% placement record . Also the placements recorded are pretty high with top companies like Google, Microsoft,JP Morgan, ICICI bank, HSBC,core companies like Texas Instruments also do visit campus for placements. Highest package is mostly bagged by CS branch students which goes upto 1Cr per annum. Exact details of placements are given by VJTI TPO on their handles and even on college website transparently so one can have a glance at it.

Fees and Financial Aid

Definitely a lot of scholarships are available that government , private institutions offer. Being a government college already fees are low but even if one has his family income less than 8 LPA then he/she is applicable to apply for various scholarships. The details of scholarships are provided by the college itself on its website.

Campus Life

5

Campus environment is the best which is expected when you are admitted in one of the best engineering colleges in Maharashtra. There are technical clubs for coding, racing, robotics etc. and non-technical clubs like Cultural, Sports , E-cell and the speciality is that all are student- run clubs which makes the element more fun and we are able to enjoy a lot of events organised by the clubs.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel needs improvement at a larger scale that includes hygiene in boys hostel with giving wardrobes per student to keep their essential. Safety is at top in Hostels. Each year students have seperate hostel. Mess is also average with fixed menu per week and not that good in taste . So overall it is better if you go for PG's or sharing rooms outside the campus.

Admission

Admission to this college happens only on the basis of MHT - CET score . I scored 99.36 percentile to get admission for the ExTC course. Cutoff for General category is high if anyone has reservation quotas applicable then he/she may expect lesser cut-offs also you can find the exact cut-offs of all colleges on mht-cet portal by Maharashtra government and also on college website.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is almost at par level having a mix of experienced as well as fresh recruitment from the campus. There are mixed reviews of students but personally I feel that faculty is average some with very less knowledge are also given a job in our college. Also permanent faculty accounts only upto 30% so lot of faculty changes happen

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college are decent, especially for computer related branches. Students usually become eliggible for campus placement from the 7th semester. The placement cell conducts taining programs from earlier semesters, including aptitude tests, technical sessions and mock interviews to prepare students. Many companies visit the campus every year, mainly from the IT and software sector. Some ofthe common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant and mid level companies. A few products based or higher paying companies also visit for specific branches. The average package is usually around 4-6 LPA while the highest package can go above 10-12 LPA in some years, especially for computer science and IT students. The placement percentage varies by branch, but overall, around 70-80 % of eligible students get placed with higher percentages in computer related branches. As for my personal plan, after completeing my degree, I aim to get a good campus placement in a reputed company and start my career in the engineering field. I also plan to keep improving my technical and communication skills during the course to increase my chances of getting a better package.
