A dA decent college but better than any tier 3 college

I have interest in software as well as hardware and electronic systems so I chosen this course but I will suggest to take this course from any NIT or iit ,iiits only.The syllabus for this curriculum is not up to date so it needs to be changed nothing to change in exams frequency as we get enough time only teaching method should include practical applications and logic building behind any concept.

Very few students get a paid internship from companies like microsoft, ISRO , Oracle rest all students get internship provided by college with no stipend. Students need to make a project so that companies make a stipend offer.Since I am in my first year so I know this much only.

After finishing 5th semester students are eligible for placement. In our college placement is decent better than any tier 3 college. Top companies like Google , microsoft , amazon , samsung and more overall 150+ companies visited the campus. around 90% percent students got placed with a average package of 11lpa and highest package of 21 lpa.

I(general category) paid 85551 for my first year which increased from last year's fee.Tution fee is around 15000, development fees 39850,exam fee 1500,and rest other fees My friend from ST category paid 4551 for one year and a ews friend paid around 77851.Schloarships for those whom family income is less than 8 lakh.

Freshers night conducted by pratibimb in month of September and the sports fest enthusia in February robotics workshops by SRA committee. Cricket , football , basketball grounds available and a Gymkhana for indoor games like table tennis chess carrom. SRA(society of robotics and automation) run by seniors and COCs (coders club) run by SY's enthusia run students is a sports committee.

Hostels are very bad condition no wifi no proper arrangements each rooms consists of 4 students which is too much in a small room no washing machine, problems like availability of water. Mess menu is repeated per week no change in menu and food is decent hostels are allotted based on merit and also first come first basis hostel per year fee is 22551 and mess fees is 44000 per year so a decent price in places like matunga .

I was not getting any NIT or IIIT and belonging to a general category maximum I could get was VJTI so I chosen this.VJTI is very old college which have a very small campus area compared to other college

Faculty to students ratio is decent there's 1 faculty for 30-40 students some faculties are like freinds they clear each and every doubt and teaches us practical uses along with theory rest all are not so. I liked my physics sir most as they give best explanation and have a friendly nature I I didn't liked our computer mam and electrical workshop mam because of their improper explanation. There are two exams per semester MST(mid sem) and ESE(end sem) that are moderate to tough in my batch around 7-8 students failed to clear exams.

Too many good spots near college like iskon temple,juhu beach, Marine drive, Chowpatty and many more night out with friends nearby open gym free for all and a public park outside hostel.hostel gate is closed at 11:30 pm and closes at 5pm.
