The curriculum was backdated and didn't consider the changing business environment
Only few professors encouraged entrepreneurship

Admission:

I applied here and got. IISWBM is the oldest MBA college in South East Asia, so it's a legacy and I wanted to be a part of the legacy and also, I got good reviews. But they should work on updating their curriculum.

An average old school management institute with average placements

Likes

Senior Mentors and Faculties with average experience over 15 years
Affordable fees and charges much less as compared to other institutions
Very safe with zero ragging and tolerance to nuisance within college premises

Dislikes

Placement opportunities are limited for Energy , Health and Environment Management courses
Almost zero college tours and internships
Old school way of marking exams and thus the results of similar students across other institutes seems much brighter to IISWBM

Admission:

The best part of this insititute is the legacy that it carries being the oldest management institute of the country it aims to keep upto its reputation. The courses are extremely affordable with minimal additional cost other than you opt in for hostels and other things. The college is also average in terms of placement . While I did I apply for other institutes and got through the GD/ PI , being a part of a government run institution was always in mind so had to opt for IISWBM over its competitors

The "Old Monk" Of B Schools!

Admission:

The admission process was good. As a new journey, enrolling and getting my name on the list for a Group discussion which was followed by a personal interview was a great go. Before the list was published, the college has a criterion of 60% (for general caste) in the CAT examination to get the form filled in.

So it is one of the oldest institutions in India it has a great faculty.it is under CU. Some big companies come here for placement. So I did not took any education loan. All the expenses were paid by my father.

Admission:

Opted this course since logistics is a vast and fast growing industry. Cleared MAT with 95.8 percentile and filled the admission brochure, reveived a call for GD/PI. Successful in clearing both the rounds and then the merit list was published with 7 days in website.

IISWBM Kolkata [MBA (Day) Course Review]

Admission:

The MBA (Day) course of IISWBM, also known as the flagship course of IISWBM, only accepts CAT scores. Admission forms are out in the month of August or September in the website which are to be submitted to the concerned college authority within stipulated date. The date of form release and submission varies every year. Candidates for MBA (Day) course are shortlisted on the basis of CAT scores and the shortlist is published on the college website. Shortlisted candidates are called for GD-PI and interview rounds, after which a final list is published on the college website where names of selected candidates are listed.
