Course Curriculum Overview
The teaching with real life examples. Though they failed to address the changing business environment in the present. But they gave some real life examples, that helped us to understand the topics way better.
Internships Opportunities
I had an internship with Peacock Solar which was an unpaid internship. In this internship, we mostly, shortlisted the college or other institutions to be approached for acceptance of solar solutions by the company.
Placement Experience
We were a post COVID batch. So placement was quite slow. Our placements started from 3rd semester itself but salaries weren't good as the COVID effect was still there. But still we received placement assistance even after our classes got over and that's how I got my placement. It was more than 90% in my batch and I worked for 2 years after getting placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees was paid for one year all at once that included the tuition and admission fees as well. I didn't opt for the hostel so that was exempted. In the first year, I had paid the admission fees and the first year fees together which was 300000/ year
Campus Life
The library was very extensive. I have been a backbencher throughout my life. So it was just for 2 classes I sat in the first row. Otherwise I also used to sit at the library. We had a lot of extracurricular which sharpened our skills.
Admission
I applied here and got. IISWBM is the oldest MBA college in South East Asia, so it's a legacy and I wanted to be a part of the legacy and also, I got good reviews. But they should work on updating their curriculum.
Faculty
Overall the faculty was nice. Some of the professors were really good. I have always been a backbencher but during my Financial Management and strategic management classes, I used to sit in the first row.
Interview Experience
I have sat through the placement for a number of companies. Mostly all had a GD round and interview round. I have always cleared the GD round but in the interview round, I faced rejection. So in case of Optum, there was no GD but two rounds of interviews which I cracked thankfully.
Night Life
I didn't live in the hostel. The campus is not so big but it's nice. We had a canteen. And we mostly used to hangout in the terrace. We didn't go to the college much because during the second semester only, COVID happened.
