Overall, IISWBM is a great place to do your MBA from. Its affordable and the placements are decent for the price you are paying. Plus a Calcutta Universe Degree has a lot of value so its a worthy addition to our CV. The faculty is rich in knowledge and deadlines are followed. Regular seminars break the monotony of class lessons and provide field knowledge. The active cultural and events committee provides for a really great learning, enjoyable and interactive environment.

After quitting my job at Coimbatore, I signed up for CAT '16. Scoring a percentile of 70, decided to fill up the form of IISWBM as it was one of the least expensive but renowned colleges in Kolkata. Cracked the interview for MBA-Day which consisted of a case study and a personal interview and i was all set.

The course consists of 9 subjects. The teachers are very experienced and follow a strict timeline. Syllabus is completed in advance that leaves ample revision time before exams. The students can opt for Finance, HR, Marketing or Business Analytics as their specialisation for the final year of the 2 year course.

The college requires us to do a 2 month summer internship during our second year. The placement committee of the college takes care that 100% of the students get placed in the summer internships at major companies to ensure we get the best practical knowledge apart from the regular class sessions.

In the year 2016, 83% of the students were placed. This excludes the students who opted out of the placement process. The median salary is around 4.5 lacs with the highest package offered was 7.5 lacs per annum. The major companies recruiting are Icici bank, Dabur, ITC, Bose, Amazon and so on.

6 lacs is the fee for 2 years, one of the least expensive full time MBA options in India for a well renowned college. The other expenses alonh with this are the hostel fees and the fees for uniforms. Adding everything up, the two years won't cost more than 7 lacs which is really affordable and even if you take an education loan, the placements are good so that wont be a problem.

I'm a day scholar but the word around colleagues is that its very affordable and the rooms are on twin sharing basis with hyegienic washrooms and common rooms.

There are 4 semesters in total. And different subjects have different kinds of internal exams. Some are project and application based like marketing and statistics while others are theory and calculation based like Accounts and Economics

Faculty members are plentiful, more than one teacher per subject which is a boon for us because they all specialise in the subjects or chapters they teach. An interactive class session is followed with state of the art projectors and whiteboards. Seminars are conducted on a weekly basis with prominent industrialists that field knowledge along with the basic class instructions. The faculty members are mostly doctorates with a ph.D or M.Sc at the least so they are highly qualified.
