IISWBM Ph.D is offered as 3 Years Full Time program, with total intake of 30 seats. The minimum eligibility criteria for Ph.D is Post Graduation + UGC NET. The total fees for IISWBM Ph.D in 2025 is ₹ 3.55 Lakhs for the complete course duration, which includes total tuition fees of ₹ 2.4 Lakhs. Earlier, the fees in 2024 - 2025 for Ph.D was ₹ 3.55 Lakhs.

Eligibility Criteria :

• Candidates for admission to the PhD programme shall have a Master's degree or a degree declared equivalent to the Master's degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body of this University, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution.
• A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master's degree prior to 19th September, 1991.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified in CSIR-UGC NET(JRF) /GATE /JEST /equivalent national level examination with Research Fellowship.
