IEM Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From 6th or 7th sem campus placements generally started , the placements are good i would say, mass recruiters like tcs , Infosys, Capgemini, Accenture,Wipro , PWC, cognizant visit every year . Many students appears for gate exams also so many of them appears in civil services and other government jobs. Some of them are interested in starting there own businesses. Many of our passout students persuing m.tech from iits nits and many well known universities.

I chose CSE because it is currently in high demand in the Job sector and I came to know that IEM provides good placement I applied for different branches but I liked computer studies more than electronics and mechanics

The student would eligible for campus placement from 3 year or 5 th semester.there are many companies offers and visited our college the highest package of our college is 1100000 and the average package woul be 500000

IEM is college well knowed for its method of study and placements.Famous companies such as TCS, Capgemini, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, etc hire employees from IEM. The Highest package went upto 1cr on campus placement and over 1.5cr in off campus placements. More 90% of students get placed at the end of 4th yr.

7th and 8th sem students are eligible for campus placement. I don't have any real data about no of offers made by company. College say that above 90 percentage students got placed. Average package is 5LPA and in 2023 highest package is 44LPA that is offcampus. I am planning to get a JOB in any startup or I will start my career in hedge fund and trading.

Course curriculum is very tidious you have to Attend lots of subjects faculty members are good but if you belongs to other states then you can face the challenge with languages .. 75% attendance is mandatory

In the academic environment at IEM, there is a significant emphasis on maintaining attendance, resembling the disciplined routine of school. The faculty is largely composed of individuals with strong academic qualifications, with 80% of them originating from Jadavpur University. However, to be candid, I find the faculty lacking in friendliness towards students and more inclined towards ensuring syllabus coverage, often resulting in a substantial workload of assignments and projects. The student-faculty ratio is 100:10. The examination structure includes two mid-term assessments, each accounting for 30 marks in every subject, conducted prior to the final semester exams.

i choose this course because i had interest in that course. Faculty of Institute of Engineering and Management is relly good and awesome teachers are well experienced and kind. Many of teachers had Phd in their respective subjects fron renowed institutes if india as well as outside the country. in one semester there are 3 exam and they are very standard exams

The placements are quite good compared to other private colleges in Kolkata or in West Bengal. I think after the 6th or 7th semester you are eligible for campus placements. The highest package was 20LPA and the average package was 4.5LPA.

Only last year students became eligible for campus placements. Tata company, Infosys, Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, etc. The hight package is 40lakh to 60lakh. Average package 10lakh to 12lakh. Percentage 65% to 75%, After my degree, I get a job and else.
