Iem has a very strict and frequent schedule of syllabus.They treat every exams either midterm or semester exams very seriously.l If you are consistent in class and attend the class lectures properly and follow modules provided carefully passing exams or scoring good is not a concern.

From 6th or 7th sem campus placements generally started , the placements are good i would say, mass recruiters like tcs , Infosys, Capgemini, Accenture,Wipro , PWC, cognizant visit every year . Many students appears for gate exams also so many of them appears in civil services and other government jobs. Some of them are interested in starting there own businesses. Many of our passout students persuing m.tech from iits nits and many well known universities.

Fees is little bit high compared to other institutions of West Bengal , but comparing to other state good colleges amount of fees is not so much. No any scholarship or financial assistance is offered in college.

There are so many fests and celebrations and cultural fests are take place through the year. Starting from freshers welcome to techfest, robotics,threateix etc There are so many clubs like coding club, music club,drama club, space observatory club, design and innovation club.

Hostel facility is very nice, food is so good in quality as compared to the rate Registration process for hostel is so simple, you have to choose you need hostel or not at the time of admission form fillup. The hostel rooms are medium 3 sharing rooms are majorly available You have to pay the full annual fees of hostel at the start of the academic year. There are also so many pg and roomstays are available in front of the campus also many food stalls are there which are open throughout the weekdays.
