IEM Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Students become eligible for campus placement during the seventh semester. The companies visiting here are Tcs, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Oracle, Amazon, etc. Companies with higher LPA offer 10 to 20 offers while mass recruiters hire around 200 students. The highest package offered was by LinkedIn 41 LPA and the average is near 5 LPA. Almost 100 percent of students of CSE get placed. I wish to get a job at a good product based company after BTech

IEM course curriculum are based on AICTC. But there are some extra subjects like ESP(essential study for professional) and SDP which is not related to engineering but helpful for GATE and other comparative exam. In this college there are a group of 35 students with one mentor. Here Professor are friendly

I chose Mecahnical Engineering simply because of my love for this subject.Unlike others I hate coding and love those subjects which require visualisation and can help me to use my text book applications in real life. Student to faculty ratio is around 1:60 Most of the faculty members are M.Tech/PHD/MCA.Only a handful of them teach really good , like 1 out of 10 of them. They teach in a long hall which makes it difficult for the back benchers to see the backboard. Term exams are held 6 months. 1st semester is divided into mid-sem and end-sem. Further midsem is divided into midsem1 and midsem2. Similarly all the semsters for the rest of the duration of four years of the course are divied into two parts. The midsem exams are of 40 marks and the end sem exams are of 80 marks. The difficulty of the paper completely depends on the student as almost all the concepts and questions are thourouhly done in classes and included in class notes most of the time

The placement starts after in starting with 4 years or 7th semester. There are lots of companies comes for placement like TCS, INFOSYS, COGNIZANT, WIPRO , IBM , etc. There is good number of placement in IT companies. The average package lies around 4.5 to 5 LPA. Amazon also coming for few students. 44 of our current 4th year students were hired by TCS R&D with 7.5 LPA package through their Digital Hiring Drive of 2020 which recruits the freshers in the domains of new technologies like AI, IoT, Data Analytics etc. 24 of our Students have been offered a Full Time role of Specialist Programmer and Systems Engineer – Specialist at Infosys with a package of 8 Lpa and 5 Lpa Respectively

Iem kolkata is known for placement in the city .Iem claims 100% placement and several companies like oracle,COGNIZANT, WIPRO, TCS etc came there and lot of offers given to students as per their merit and skills Average package is 4-5 lakhs and highest is 40 lakhs. Most of students get placed. After getting degree I am targeting to get job.

There are Summer, Winter internships, and final placements for the students. In 2021, the average salary came up to INR 8.5 LPA and the highest salary was INR 13.6 LPA. The placements records show a tremendous increase in the average salary offers from the past years.

Companies that come here include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Amazon, Oracle, and many more mnc's come here around 25 to 30 MNCs come here to hire a disciplined students from a great college. the highest package is around 30 lakh and min is 3.6 lakh and the average placement is around 4 to 6 lakhs. around 92-93 percent of students get placed on the campus itself. My plan after getting a job is to do my job and get promoted.

From the very first year of the college the facilities have been providing that how to grap the placement via zoom.By the 3rd year itself students can participate in placement.There are many more companies those visits like infosis, wipro etc. The average placement is 5lacs per annum for CSE. After getting a b.tech degree I will be doing m.tech from any IIT by doing a good GATE rank.

I choose this course because it gives benefits in both sectors especially in the core. The faculty is very well they will help you when you need them and the student ratio per class is near 40-50.The faculty is well qualified.

I think you are eligible for campus placement after 6th semester you can apply for off campus placement thereafter you can also do Glory off campuses.And In campus Companies like TCS ,WIPRO , COGNIZANT comes for visit too it's upon Student basis
