Likes

Teacher are so good. they behave very well. they support all time
Yes, they provide scholarship fees, the job opportunities are also good and placements are also good.
Amazing campus and social life. sports culture is one of the best in this college and also the main thing that is placements are the main attraction point of this college

Dislikes

The hostels facility is not so good. the bathrooms are not so clean and there are hygiene issues. the food in the mess is not that much healthy.
The things i disliked about my college is the teachers. sometimes the teachers teaches us in bengali language which is not understand by all the students
The infrastructure of the class is not prominent. we have to ware college uniforms everyday. the projectors are broken in the class. there are broken benches in the class.

Likes

College campus is very large college gives a lot exposure
During the time of recession college get a good placement opportunities to students
College faculty and senior are very supportive

Dislikes

College cames in remote area which is far away from city
Air conditioning class room is not available
Mess food is not so good. That's why we have to depend on restaurant

Placement is offered in our college.In this year,2023 highest package is something around 33 lakh which is very good from point of view of 3rd tier college And the average package offers is 5 lakh. My plans after getting degree is to do mtech.percentage of students placed in our college is something around 95%

Likes

The environment of my college is very study friendly and there is no disturbance in our study
The another thing which I like about my college is that the infrastructure of my college is very good as compared to the other college west Bengal

Dislikes

The things I disliked about my college is the teachers. Sometimes the teachers teaches us in Bengali language which is not understand by all the students
In college water filter there is a bad quality of water is dispensed for the students which is not good for the students health

Placement Experience:

The placement on our college is not very good or not very bad . We can say it a decent placement rate . The average package of our college which decent . As compared to the other college of West Bengal the placement rate is higher then the others college in the west Bengal . In my college every year almost 75 percent of students gets the job offer at decent package . The highest placement of our college is 33 lakhs rupees onwards this year . Therefore the placement is decent of our college .

Likes

The college is very good and its campus is larger than its nearby colleges.There are very good faculties and high skilled professors.Approx every thing available inside the college campus and having very good medical facilities.
It provide hostel facilities also and there is also many grounds for playing.Here almost all the things that a student need is available.The seniors are very friendly and supportive and guide like a mentor
Almost seventy percent student got placement inside the campus.Many companies visits the college campus every year. You must experience a good college life and learn many things and develop yourself that will help you in future

Dislikes

The mess inside the college campus is not good. It not provide good and tasty food this is the major issue
Almost all seniors are good but some of them take ragging of their juniors and the anti ragging community don’t take actions against them
There is not 100 percent of placement inside the college campus some of them not got a single job application letter.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think to do BTech in my skul days so I think to take admission here. The area is in rural area this is the bad experience here. You even should not go for travelling but the course is very good and there is good placement for IT and CS students and the course the good for good students.Overall the course experience is good.

Our college have very clubs and societies with help to build good network in college. These societies also enhances our knowledge.
Our college have neat and green campus with numbers of grounds, basketball ground, football ground. We have our own gym for boy's and girl's separately.
Faculties are well qualified and supportive.

Placement Experience:

Our college provides in-campus placement opportunities for the students. Our college also provides in-campus internship opportunities. Average placement is about 6 to 8 LPA in our college. Highest package in-campus 2024 is 33 LPA.

Library is amazing and there is lots of books
Attendance policy is not strict you can give exam even your attendance is 40 percentage

Dislikes

Coding environment is not good but it is improving
Some Faculty is not good but some are very knowledgeable

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester the students are eligible to sit in the placement some of the companies that visit are TCS Wipro etc average package is about 5 6 lpaDue to ression the placement is decreased overall it's good

It’s the best College.

Likes

College campus as in 49 acre. And it has the iconic four pillar.
Friendly behaviour of senior and helping nature
And faculty members are more cooperative Coop.

Dislikes

There, there is nothing about disliking this college
There are very strict teachers so they pressurise you to get more Marks in exam
All things are good. According to me it is the best.

Placement Experience:

The placements are in my college are very good. You can eligible in six semester for your placement there are some companies that came last year are like Accenture , TCS, HCL, Amazon, Wipro, cognizant, Infosys etc

Pros and cons of haldia institute of technology

Likes

I liked the faculty members they are very helpful
I liked the extracurricular activities that happens every weeks or months
The campus is big and it is a good place to roam around and to chill.

Dislikes

Some seniors are not very friendly and act badly
Same kind of book is not available for all students.
Placement scenario is very bad in the recent years

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students are eligible forcampus placements. Wipro cognizant etc company visit the campus and pull campusing is also done.this years highest package is 10lpa from IT department but the overall placement is not very good. Around 30-40% student got placements.my personal plan after getting the degree is to do M.TECH is a renowned university.

HIT Haldia - A Decent College

Likes

There are Many Socities which help to acquire many skills.
Campus Life is Very Excellent as the Campus Area is around 40 acres and Cultural and Tech Fest are arganized
Faculty are Excellent as All Faculty Are NET Qualified, PHD Holders and NIT passout.

Dislikes

Campus is situated at the Outskirts of West Bengal
Discipline is not well maintained and Punctuality in the Class as Many Students not attends the Class.
No such places to explore in the Locality.

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester that is 3rd Year and 4th Year Students are eligible for Campus Placements. Many big Companies and MNCs visits our College like Amazon, TCS, Infosys,Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant, PWC, Deloitte. Highest package offered this Year is 45 LPA and Average Package is 6.2 LPA . This Year 98-99 % students are placed and rest are opted for Higher Study. My plan after getting a degree is to get a High Package in big MNCs.

Haldia Institute of Technology is one of the largest residential engineering institutes in West Bengal. It is spread over an area of 36.98 acres of land and has been ranked at 163 position by NIRF ranking. The college is also accredited with A grade by NAAC

Courses:

The college offers various courses- B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and MCA with a number of specialisations. The college offers B.Tech in CE, CSE, ECE, ME, IT, EE, Biotech and in many other specialisations and M.Tech in ECE, CSE, CE, ME and Biotechnology. The college has also offered new courses for B.Tech in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and cyber security. Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering are top departments.

Placements:

As per the data of batch 2017-18, 72% students were placed and around 140 companies visited the campus for placements. Some of the top recruiters were Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd, Nestle, Adani Wilmar etc.
