Classes are conducted for eight semesters based on KTU syllabus, and university exams are conducted after each semester, with a duration of four months. Courses are planned along with labs and workshops. Internal assessments are also conducted during the course.
Internships are very important for engineering students as they help the students during their placements.

Dislikes

GEC Thrissur is under the KTU syllabus. The KTU syllabus is really poor and has a low standard. The basic topics required at the beginning are taught last and the hard topics are taught first.
We only have to pay $8250 per semester for tuition and exam fees of around $2000.

Likes

Good campus life. Friendly and helpful faculty and staff. Good libary facilities. Good encouragement for sports and extra curriculars

Lesser placement rates than other branches

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th sem are eligible for campus placements. Highest package was about 5 to 6 lpa. In this branch students getting placements in quite low when compared to other branches in this colleges

True from heart

Likes

This college has a very nice ambience. It's very calm and quite.
Transportation facilities are good. We can easily reach out from railway station through bus to there.

Dislikes

In this there is no seperate techfest. They had only one fest which include both culturals and tech.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The time for preparation is very congested. The syllabus is quite irrelevant to the future. It's not applicable to the future in any field. The course is highly relevant in other countries. But here it is a little bit difficult to carry on.

Best college for engineering

First of all i like this college because it’s government college. Then gect is the 2 nd best engineering college in the ktu university
Campus is good and the college life is also good

Placement Experience:

From Semester 6 students become eligible for campus placements Mrf, cisco, wipro, Renault, etc. are the companies visited and 10 lpa are offered A maximum of 15 lpa is offered 80% of students are getting placed I plan to take master's at the best college after getting the degree

Campus environment, trees, basketball court

Government engineering college thrissur is having lots of placement packages. The average salary package is 400000 per annum. Google, Tata, reliance, vipro, kinfra, cipla, federal bank etc come here for placements

Life at GECT

Likes

We are able to meet new friends and we can connect to a lot of people having different mindset and perspective which increases our thinking and comprehensive capacity
We could get alot of programmes and participating in those can enhance our technical and vocabulary skills

Dislikes

Less usage of English makes our vocabulary less as we are more using Malayalam language.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The production engineering is one of the best course.But the faculties are not enough working for the better achievements.There are labs which is useful to learn things better.Subjects are really interesting.
