Course Curriculum Overview

Btech in Production Engineering can be a good option for those who are interested in pursuing knowledge about various mechanical procedures and Production processes. The course curriculum is student friendly and covers all important topics which are required later on after the student graduates

Internships Opportunities

VKC calicut, pk steels, milma diaries etc are some of the companies which were given for intership for 1st year students. Some of the internships are paid whereas others were free. Internships are promoted early for developing the hands on experience of the student

Placement Experience

Students from 7th sem are eligible for campus placements. Highest package was about 5 to 6 lpa. In this branch students getting placements in quite low when compared to other branches in this colleges

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are provided in 1st year based on income and distance of the student from home. Hostel fee is affordable which is about 3500 per month Hostel rooms accommodate 4 people in one room with separate tables, beds, shelves and cupboards individually . Electricity, water and wifi facilites are available

Admission

Admission procedures are based on the KEAM ranklists. Cutoff is quite low for this branch. Reservation benefits are applicable for categories such as obc, ews, sc/st. Admission processes are quite easy after the allotment result publication

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are good, can be better. This year the average is 15L and median is 12L and highest is 50L for ece, the percentage of placed students in ece is also greater than 80%.In the 3rd year students are taken for interships and those may convert to placements and for 4th year students placements will start from the start of their 4th year itself.For ece meesho, dell, texax instuments and many other companies came, meesho paid the highest salary in ece.My plan is to secure a good job in core company.

Nit Calicut - Good Side and Worse Side

we get placements mostly in the post 6th sem or in 7th sem. Some major companies like texas instruments offer good packages here. others include meesho, goldmans sachs, dell, bpl. Highest package is around 50lakh for ece students and around 70 lakh for cse. more than 80 percent get placed from cse and ece but is only around 20 percent in branches like production engineering, engineering physics. less core companies than it ones

Placements are the main highlight of our college.Highest package offered this year was 52 lpa by D.E shaw &Co . Average package was around 8lpa. Almost all students from CSE and ECE were placed . Companies: Redbus, Deloitte,TCS,UST Global etcs. Students from sem 6-7 are eligible for placements.

I didn't really choose this college, particularly over some other college.
