KTU Result 2026 Portal by Program Type

KTU uses two places for results. Where a result appears depends on the programme and the exam type.

Result Type Where to Check
B.Tech 2019 and 2024 Scheme, regular and supplementary Student login on app.ktu.edu.in; notice on ktu.edu.in
B.Tech (WP) results Examination, then Results tab on ktu.edu.in, and student login
B.Tech 2015 Scheme special and PT exams Student and college login only
PG results such as MCA, MBA and M.Tech Student login; notice on ktu.edu.in

Principals of affiliated colleges can also see results through the college login. So the college exam cell can help with login trouble.

How to Check KTU Result 2026?

The steps below work for B.Tech, B.Arch and PG results.

  1. Open the KTU student portal at app.ktu.edu.in.
  2. Log in with the user name and password issued through the college.
  3. Open the Examination or Result section in the dashboard.
  4. Select the exam name, such as B.Tech S4 (S, FE) May 2026.
  5. Check the grade for each course, the SGPA and the CGPA.
  6. Download or print the page for later use.

Common Problems While Checking the Result

  • Result not on the website: 2015 Scheme special and PT results show only after login.
  • Forgotten password: Students usually ask the college exam cell to reset it.
  • Grade shows FE: Attendance was short, or disciplinary action is pending.
  • Grade shows I: The student was eligible but missed the exam.

What the KTU Grade Card Shows

The semester grade card lists only the courses a student registered for. It shows the grade for each course. It also shows the SGPA for that semester and the overall CGPA.

Grade cards are available in the student login every semester. KTU then issues a final consolidated grade sheet. This happens after a student earns all required credits.

KTU Grading System and SGPA Calculation

Under the B.Tech 2019 Regulations, grades depend on total marks in a course. Total marks combine internal marks (CIE) and the end semester exam (ESE).

Grade Grade Point Total Marks in the Course
S 10 90% and above
A+ 9.0 85% to below 90%
A 8.5 80% to below 85%
B+ 8.0 75% to below 80%
B 7.5 70% to below 75%
C+ 7.0 65% to below 70%
C 6.5 60% to below 65%
D 6.0 55% to below 60%
P (Pass) 5.5 50% to below 55%
F (Fail) 0 Below 50% overall or below 40% in ESE

To pass, a student needs at least 40% in the end semester exam. The student also needs 50% in CIE and ESE together.

How SGPA and CGPA Are Calculated

SGPA multiplies each course credit by its grade point. The total is then divided by total credits. Failed courses also count in this sum. CGPA uses the same formula across all semesters so far.

Example: A student gets S in a 4-credit course. The same student gets B in a 3-credit course. SGPA is (4 x 10 + 3 x 7.5) / 7, about 8.93.

CGPA to Percentage and Degree Class

For the 2019 Scheme, percentage equals CGPA x 10. KTU adopted this formula through an order dated June 29, 2023. A CGPA of 8.0 or more earns First Class with Distinction. A CGPA of 6.5 or more earns First Class.

How to Apply for Revaluation and Scrutiny After the Result

The revaluation portal opens on the day KTU publishes a result. Students apply through the student login. The fee is paid online there. Colleges do not collect it.

  1. Log in to the student portal after the result notice.
  2. Choose answer book copy, revaluation, or both, for each paper.
  3. Pay Rs. 525 per answer book copy or Rs. 630 per revaluation.
  4. Submit before the deadline printed in that result notice.

Each notice has three deadlines. These are without fine, with fine and super fine. Take the October 23 result as an example. Its deadlines are November 2, November 5 and November 7, 2026.

Note: A large gap triggers a third valuation. The gap must exceed 15% of maximum marks.

After revaluation, the student keeps the better of the two marks. ESE scorers of 40% or more can request a Low Pass Grade. This request must be made within 15 days of the result notice. Revaluation applicants get 15 days after the revaluation result instead.
