8000 is tution fees here and lots of scholarship like e grants and many other for students and lower caste people getting more scholarship...as a aid ... and it's nice policy mcm is a good scholarship
The faculty to student ratio is appropriate they provide great support highly skilled faculties good quality mentoring good in interactions and helping in study they reach out to us for any help regarding the syllabus
Life in gec us best best policy,best pics and best freedom here is best and nice we can think well and well established life here is peace peace fullued with peace no dugs no other misallenious activities in gec

Dislikes

The ladies hostel in our college is the shittiest ever .
There is no playground's in my college so we missed a lot of activities there.
No of students interested in b.tech is getting lower and lower by year

Likes

Good placement training, faculties,labs.
Social interactions and college environment, campus are nice and good.
Faculties are knowledgeable, approachable and friendly

Dislikes

College is not in city so there is transportation difficulties
Syllabus is wast and time to cover the syllabus is less
More industry based workshops will be more helpful

Students normally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (3rd year). TIST has ties with many companies that visit the campus for placement drives every year. Some of the known recruiters include: TCS, Infosys, Wipro, IBM, Aspire Systems, Birlasoft, ITC Infotech, South Indian Bank, HTC Global, Schneider Electric, Danfoss, Rikun and others.Highest Package: Up to around ?10 LPA Collegedunia Average Package: Around ?3–4 LPA for many companies. The college experience

Likes

Hostel facilities are good and nice WiFi is provided.
Placement trainings are provided from the first sem.
The faculties are supportive and helpful in projects and workshops

Dislikes

Ktu syllabus is vast and limited time to study

The placement trainings are provided from the first semester onwards to improve the performance of the students. Many companies are visiting the college for recruitments. Majority students are placed from the college.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is very good comparatively. Top MNCs like cognizant UST IBM Speridian KEC, Kaar tech expiron Zoho are hiring from our campus nearly 200 offers are there till date on this year. Highest ctc is 8 LPA.

Likes

The labs are quite neat and have all the essential matters.
The classes are quite supportive and can have a social circle of your own people.
The cafeteria provides a variety of food.

Dislikes

There is a scarcity of medical area and needs extra beds for the number of people.
Not able to study for the exams as the timeline is short
The store doesn’t provide some essentials.

Placement Experience:

From the semester 7 onwards the placement interview will begin.The company's like Infosys,Sutherland etc.But if we are doing externally that is also good.I'm planning on improving my skills first and then going abroad. The average package available would be 4 lakh per annum.

I am more a all rounder and this college also allows us to play games and events and lets us conduct many sports related events and I like that about this college
The hostel food is also good compared to other hostel food and provides good and tasty food.
The teachers and facilities are very willing to help us, our teachers some times take extra classes even on a holiday if we ask them to clarify us.

Dislikes

The college during the times of exams get kind of very strict and everything so yeah I hate that
The security facilities may sometimes get on our nerves and make problems not every security but some of them
Some faculties are very strict but some are very friendly but the ones that are strict makes me sometimes dislike the facilities

Placement Experience:

From S3 we start to get placement training but S3 training is just a small training the tell you the basics and everything but from s5 the campus placement training, they take it seriously and the percentage of students getting placement is low. But because the college is autonomous they say the autonomous batch will have a 50% placement

An overview of RIT

Likes

The overall environment here is great. Students coming from different backgrounds make us more capable of meeting new people who have different ideas and that makes things easier,apart from achieving technical greatness ,curtain clubs are here
These clubs gives opportunities to gain new skills and to showcase our existing skills, sports clubs are also present which will help improve skills in sports
Cultural clubs , technical clubs are also present here to aid in your interest

Placement Experience:

Upon reaching s7 students are invited for campus placement but they have to pass different criteria to become eligible for attending the interview, a minimum cgpa of 7.5 and academic skills a these are the basic requirements and an aptitude test will be given and in further selection these criteria are looked. I plan on pursuing a job after completing by btech. More than half the students in a batch are getting placed usually.

An honest college review

Likes

The college has a vibrant campus life and freedom.The students are a good vibe.The college has lots of events during the 4 year cycle.The main cultural fest is cult a way.A lots of clubs are there to give the necessary skills and knowledge.
Although the campus is small,they have a well structured labs. The campus infrastructure is also good.The college has a canteen.
The teaching of the faculty is overall satisfactory.Most of the teachers teaches well.

Dislikes

There a lot of projects, homework etc.So it is very hard to manage time. No time to study.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for placements. The top recruiters in it sectors are Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Tata Elxsi, Accenture, Oracle, Amazon, Wipro, UST GLOBAL, IBM. The top recruiters in other sectors are Mu Sigma, Ernst and young,, federal Bank, h and r block. Most of the placement are in it and related sectors. The average package is 4 to 6 lpa.The highest package is 34 lpa in Amazon. In 2024, 35 percent of students got placed. I will look to get campus placement in a reasonable package or I will try to get jobs by other means.

Supportive and learned faculty, willing to mentor and guide students beyond academics. Faculty members possess expertise and are always approachable, guiding students not just with academics, but also career counselings, placements and project works.
The campus has an extremely lively environment were students frequently on projects, participate in culture events, and to help each-other to adapt to every academic challenges, creating a truly welcoming and encouraging social atmosphere at college.
Student-run clubs and cultural clubs, feats like Exodia, Navira, Utsav so on gives everyone a platform to showcase their talents and relax during academic year. Sports, arts, technical activities, and volunteer opportunities ensure key life skilles.

Dislikes

Hostel accommodation for boys is very limited,which forces many students to look for off campus PGs and rented rooms, this creates inconvenience, affects safety and often adds stress due to distance and extra expense, often offering contaminated food
Several lab and practical equipments across departments are outdated, which hampers hands on learning and restricts exposure to latest technology trends. Modernization is needed to align with industry requirement and enhance practical understanding .
Administrative service such as issuing certificates, examine result processing delays and official approvals often are slow and entile repeated follow-ups, creating frustration and delays during important academic transition or final year clearances

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably

College of Engineering Chengannur

Likes

The strong sense of community and support among students and faculty,which creates a friendly and encouraging learning environment.
The affordable and transparent fee structure combined with good placement opportunites
College library is good with well-stocked with huge selection of books,reference books and technical journals which helps for both academic and competitive exams

Dislikes

The limited hostel accommodation for boys which often forces many to seek off campus PGs or houses
Some of the infrastructure and lab equipments can feel outdated compared to private institutions
Administrative processes such ss result, certificates or approvals tend to be slow.

Placement Experience:

The placements here is quite promising particularly for computer science department. Over 70 to 80 percentage seniors secured scholarships. Major recruiters are firms like Tata , infosys , Wipro , IBM etc. The highest salary previous year was around 9 lakhs.
