Ajay Kumar Garg College Engineering popularly known as AKGEC, was established in 1998 in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The institute is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Each hostel at AKGEC has a separate mess with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area providing hygienic, nutritious, and wholesome meals. Hostels have a gymnasium as well as indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Each hostel also has a TV room and a library with magazines and fiction/general reading books. Ques. How do I get admission to AKGEC Ghaziabad after Class 12 without a high JEE Main rank?

Ans. AKGEC offers management quota seats. These seats don’t strictly follow the JEE Main cutoff, but you still need at least 65% in Class 12 with PCM. You’ll need to contact the admission cell directly (usually in July) and might have to attend a short interview or fill out an internal form. Many students use this route if they didn’t score well in JEE Main but still want a reputed private college with good placements.

Various Companies visiting Campus and Packages being Offered

College provides moderate placement offeres. The students are eligible for the campus placement from 8th semester onwards ie 4th year. Companies such as wipro, tech mahendra, Amazon etc visits are college and they provide an average pakage of 4-5 lakhs. Also this year three students were placed in a pakage of 35 lakhs. Generally 80 to 85 percent of people get placed every year. Talking about my plans then I want to go for mtech so i will prepare for GATE.

Exams and Class Timings

If we talk about the curriculum of our college then daily classes from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm (except sundays and even Saturdays) are run . As I am in first year so i can say that my professors are very helpful regarding any difficulties and queries. And due to opportunities by the college I choosed this course. The college is more driven for the performance in the university test that is why the real word applications part is someworth missing. Hopefully I get it in my futher years. Their are a lot of exams which are conducted by the college due to which we face issues in studying for futher industrial applications part. Almost every month exams are there and talking about the difficulty level the it is easy to moderate not hard.

Fees Structure and Scholarships Available

Tution fee for my course Btech CSE is Rs. 1,41,856/- for the first year. As I am in first year so i haven't faced any rate hikes. The complete cost of my education here in this college costs around 6 lakhs(without hostel) and around 10 lakhs(with hostel). College also provides scholarship opportunities for the economically weaker section as well as for the reservation categories according to the up government and AKTU policies. Also awards are provided by the college to the ones who score good marks in college as well as in university exams. All the details of the awards are given in the college website

Internship Scenario in Campus

A negitive point about our college is it doesn't provide any internship opportunities. And also it doesn't provide any NOC(no objection certificate) if you want to work with a company for internship purpose.

Activities and Celebrations in Campus

We were only given a small fare on diwali and freshers and as per my talk with the seniors this college doesn't organise any technical or annual fests. Talking about the library then we have a very good central Library present in our campus and it the college says that we have more than 1 lakh books present in the library so it is very benificial. Smartboards as well as green boards are installed in our lecture theatres. Their are many sports played in our college such as football, cricket, kabbiddy, athletics etc and also tournaments are organized. Also many clubs and groups are run by the college students which is good for the holistic development of a child

Hostel Fees and Facilities Available

We have a pretty good rooms in our first year hostel. Hostel name is BH3. A bed, bedsheet ,pillow , pillow covers, ethernet connecting are been provided by the college. The food in the mess is hygienically prepared and we have a menu for the whole week but eating same food again and again makes it boring and the taste is also average. If we want to stay in hostel then we need to fill the hostel form on the day of admission and then afterwards the wardern sir of the hostel calls us for the payment which is around 10,000 rupees a month i.e 1,20,000 rupees for the whole year.

Admission Process and Eligibility Criteria

I got into this college (Ajay kumar garg engineering college, ghaziabad) through management quota i.e on the basis of my performance in my class 12th board exams. As I am in the branch CSE, for that we need to have above 95% in class 12 th board exams(PCM) and i scored around 97%. We can find the application form, application details and the application dates on the website of our college. Talking about the exams , so we have to give 4 different types of exam here. Those are CT(class test), ST( sessional test), PUT(pre university test) and UT( university test). And i find the difficulty from easy to moderate. My admission procedure was smooth and easy but if I have to suggest any improvement then college should the admission process was slow and we wasted a whole day there. So they can make it quick so that the students and the parents can get relaxed.

AKGEC- A place where engineers are groomed

Admission:

the admission process has two methods - direct admission on the basis of class PCM percentage and through uptac counselling based on JEE mains ranks. The cutoffs go really well to accomodate some low rankers as well. I did not applied for other colleges due to some personal reasons.

Overall Review for AKGEC

Admission:

I chose this college as in previous times it was doing quite good in placements and but now most of the students are unplaced. Other colleges I've applied to are JSS noida, Galgotias etc are these colleges got a better placement ratio that my college. But campus of other campus are smaller compared to AKGEC. Admission is through JEE mains and applying to counselling of AKTU colleges.

Admission:

I chose this college because AKGEC is considered one of the best colleges of AKTU and also because of its location. I even applies for JSS NOIDA but there I was getting ECE hence I got AKGEC. My rank was not enough to make it to CSE in JSS so I chose this college. The admission is done by AKTU councelling , in 6 normal round and for the rest of the seats last councelling is done.

so bascially i didn't choose this college . i did mistake in my uptac counselling and get this college but when i studied here and seen all the aktu colleges i prefer this is good because it ranked 3 in up colleges .the college is ranked 3 in whole up and its naac A++ so yes its a great college so to get admission in akgec there are two ways by 10+2 percentage marks or by uptac counselling you have to fill your choices in uptac counselling so fill it very carefully without any mistake so the overall to get any cs/it branch your jee percentile should be above 88 and below that you can get any other core branches.

Yes you need to appear for JEE mains followed by uptac counselling to get admission to AKGEC Ghaziabad and you need to have passed 12th with 75% or more to be eligible for B.tech course.

AKGEC Ghaziabad does have hostel facilities for both male as well as female students with annual fee ranging from 1.1 to 1.30 lacs. The fees is based on double sided, triple sided or single seater hostel rooms. Where are beds table chairs and almiras included in the room other facilities include mattress, pillow, bed sheet, however electronic items are not allowed.
