Campus Life:
Sierra our annual fest is the most anticipated one. In addition to the that there are many business conclaves conducted through out the year. We also have our own Sirmaur premier league. The clubs and committees also play a crucial part in running institute and handles different task. IIM Sirmaur has domain based clubs and organizes different national level competitions and bring live project opportunities for the students
Likes
- I liked the different experienced faculty we had.
- The new campus is amazing woth a lot of facilities.
Dislikes
- Food is not good in mess and not many options to order
- It is secluded and far from any major city.
Campus Life:
Campus life is good as we have a lot of new facilities like sports room, gym. We also have areas where we can have music sessions, parties,etc. We also have badminton court available 24/7 so we can play whenever we want.
Likes
- The faculty at Indian institute of management is really good
- The institute has now have a permanent campus, which is huge
Dislikes
- At my time, there was no permanent campus. Although they have it now.
- The city is not well developed, so you might have to travel a bit to get things.
Campus Life:
The Indian institute of management has various clubs and committees which are for different domains like finance, marketing operations and Human resource. One can easily socialize in the environment provided by the institute.
Likes
- The faculty is quite knowledgeable and learned. Practical aspects of subjects are taught.
- The infrastructure of the Institute is very good. Campus has all the necessary amenities required like library, smart classrooms, hostels, mess etc.
Campus Life:
There are mainly two fests are organised namely the Radiance which is a Management fest and Sierra which is a Cultural fest of the institute. The campus has all the amenities and facilities required by the students like smart classes, mess, library, hostels with wifi facility, indoor and outdoor sports space etc.
Likes
- The institute is doing fairly good in placements and improving each year
- The institute has various clubs and committees which students can join. The clubs and committees are responsible for organizing various events and manage the institute
Dislikes
- The permanent campus of IIM Sirmaur is getting delayed
Campus Life:
All major festivals are celebrated in IIM Sirmaur. Also, there are other events organised by different clubs and committees whether its fest, guest lectures, case competitions, etc. Due to temporary campus of IIM Sirmaur, the facilites are limited. However all major sports facilites are provided like football, cricket, gym, volleyball, badminton, etc
Likes
- Campus life at IIM Sirmaur is an experience in itself. It teaches an individual to survive in every kind of situation
- Faculty and teaching methodologies at IIM sirmaur are really good
Campus Life:
There are various student run clubs, committiees and student interest groups in IIM Sirmaur. The library all sort of books, journals,etc that you will need in these two years. They also provide e-resources for learning.
Likes
- The faculty of IIM Sirmaur is really up to the mark and provide great knowledge regarding the course.
- The learning which you get from the peers adds more to one's knowledge and experience.
Dislikes
- The college is very far away from major cities which makes it difficult for one to commute.
- Being in small town on Paonta Sahib, City do not offers much of an experience.
Campus Life:
Since the college is currently using its temporary campus, the campus life is decent. Also, the college is soon shiting into new permanent campus which would definitely add to the experience of the campus life and will make the MBA journey more exciting.
Likes
- The institute is really focusing on placements and is doing well in it, considering the market situation and the new generational IIM.
- Faculties are really supportive here and go at lengths to support students, be it in case competitions or academics.
Dislikes
- The permanent campus is really taking time to get built and sometimes it becomes difficult to travel between the hostel and the academic buildings, kills a lot of time.
- Since the institute in a small town called Paonta Sahib, it becomes difficult to avail advanced medical facilities. Also the city has very less to offer in terms of good experience.
Campus Life:
The campus life is good , every other occasion is celebrated in which the event is organized by the student body only which shows that the institute is really student-driven. Apart from this, there are more than 25 clubs and committees in the institute which helps student get industry insights and practice their theoretical knowledge. The infrastructure is okay at the moment as currently we are operating from temporary campus and will very soon move to the permanent campus which is magnificent
Likes
- Campus life is the one thing I like the most because it's different what it experienced in our undergraduate it's engaging and serious and more practical we have lots of assignments with deadline on the same day EOD when we all do our best
- Clubs and committee as IIM sirmaur is student driven compus. So the culture here is very good and supportive.
Dislikes
- IIM has temporary campus so it's small in comparison to other IIMs and it's original permanent campus which they are about to shift
- Library facilities is the another thing that I disliked because it doesn't have enough space and resources which we need for MBA course.
Campus Life:
IIM Sirmaur currently have a temporary campus and It is about to shift in its new campus when the next batch will join. So, About the temporary campus it had good facilities whether it is for sports or technological provisions within the classroom lile wifi or digitally enabled classroom with projectors. They many management domain related clubs and committee and it's a full student driven campus.
Likes
- It is good and faculties are very good and helpfull. They help in ur project how to do and push students to participant in case study.
- The culture of the IIM Sirmaur is very different from other IIM and seniors are very helful
Dislikes
- the transport system was very disappointed because there is no near any railway station and if want to take your train on time than you have to go Dehradun or Yamunanagr or Chandighar.
Campus Life:
* the diffenrent types of annual function celebrating in the college like Pongal, Makar Shankranti, Diwali, Durga Puja, Onam, Holi, Hanesh Chturthi, Maha Shivaratri, Eid al-Fitr, Christmas, Lohri, Raksha Bandhan, Janmashtami, Vishu, Muharram, Bihu * IIM Sirmaur has an in house library equipped with both print and electronic sources. The library has around 650 books and a subscription of 22 periodics and 5 newspapers in hard copies. It provides access to over 30,000 e-books titles, 4000 e-newspapers and 500 e-Magazines. The accessible 24*7 and several online database. * Classrooms are wellequipped with state of art projectors, and the seat are quite comfortable with sufficient led room and all the seats are faciliated with charging sockets. * Sports facilities at IIM Sirmaur football field, Volleyball court, badminton courts, two practice cricket peiches, pool table, snooker table, carom, chess and teble tennis.
