After the change made by NEP,the curriculum in my faculty has been little tough but as for my course it's really very interesting to learn and beneficial for my future career plans like it would be helpful for those who are preparing for civil services,phd etc. like I said the teachers are top notch but this does not apply to all the professors. There are few profs that needs to be changed because they are not punctual with their sessions and this sometimes leads to incomplete syllabus and then they hurry us with notes just 1week before the examination.

In this time we are living which is changing rapidly in every sense. Economically, politically and socially. To understand the nation and the changes we must understand our rulers and the constitution of India and our rights. To know all these things I choose international relations (political science).

I started studying political science in class xi. I really love this subject from then. My 10+2 teachers suggested me that for political science honours, Jadavpur University (Department of International Relations) is a perfect choice. The number of student ratio in my class is 1:2 ; most of them are girls. All of the professors are very good. There teaching style is so unique. The exam are quite tuff, conceptual. 2 semesters in a year.

This is a very renowned institution. It is also very close to my house so I don't need to travel a lot to attend my classes. Studying in JU has always been a dream come true for me. I opted for this course as I love the subject Political Science. And also, no other institution is as renowned in this department as JU. So I took admission in this reputed institution.

Interesting course (Political Science and International Relations), well reputed university (In top 10 universities of the country), interesting and well curated curriculum, experienced professors, proximity from my house, beautiful campus

It is one the best universities in the country. A liberal and progressive environment. Close to my house. Only place in the city to have a department of International Relations. Always wanted to go to this college.

Negative remarks is that our college is very poorly maintained. Trash is lying everywhere. The college looks very dirty. It won’t appeal to any outsider. People make negative comments about our college saying only intoxication and politics prevail in JU. Although this is not true. Statistics say the rest.

Our college offers all facilities. There are a number of canteens with different types of food and different price ranges. There are centres for photocopying notes as well for printing and a stationery shops as well.
