IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Internships start in the 5th semester and placements start in the 7th semester. Many MNCs and startups visit for internships and placements. The average package remains around 16lakhs per annum and the highest package goes over 2Cr.

Students in their final year (penultimate semester) become eligible for campus placements. So far over 400+ companies have visited us this year offering 1000+ placements. The highest package is around INR 2 crores while the average is INR 15LPA. Almost everyone (90%) got placed in the placements whereas I am planning to pursue MBA after my graduation

Students at IIT Kharagpur are eligible for internships from the third year of btech program and the fourth year of the dual degree program. The highest package at our college in the last year was 2.6 crore per annum. The average package is 26 LPA. I would like to get placed or startup after the degree.

I chose this course purely because of the rank and I was getting IIT KGP which is a dream college for many. The faculty includes great profs like Joy Sen Sir, Arjun Sir, Arup Sir, and Shreyas Sir. They are world-class teachers and the learning environment is so great at IIT KGP. Two-term exams namely mid-sem and end sem along with a few class tests happen and they aren't so difficult to pass believe me. I mean you guys have cleared the world's toughest examination to reach there, the term exam is comparatively a piece of cake

The placement process starts in the third semester and there are enough offers for the whole batch to get placed with prestigious companies in India. The average package is approx 19l per annum. Other placement details you can get from the placement brochure on the college website.

It is one of the best courses at IIT Kharagpur. Lots of scopes in Internships and placements for this course. The curriculum is very good and well-structured. The faculty-student ratio is 1:5.One of the best professors teaches Industrial and Systems Engineering.

The campus placements are good and there's better ROI. After the third sem, the students become eligible for placements. The companies visited and offers made can be found in the placements brochure. Student in the 1st semester of their final year is able for sitting in placements. There are around 400+ companies visited the campus for the placements like apple, google, Microsoft, Honeywell, Rubrik, Jane Street, alphagrape, etc. They took around 50 students from different courses. We have the highest package of 3 cr this year for the quant profile of Rubrik. There are around 90-95 got placed every year assuming the student is suited for placement. Some students also plan for a master's, Ph.D., or some research program after getting a degree.

From the third semester, students are eligible for placements. Some of the major recruiters are ICICI bank, Titan, Accenture, Deloitte etc. The offers made were 90+ The highest package is around 32 lakhs and the average is around 19 lakhs. 100% of students got placed. Go for the job.
