Likes
- All the big brands and big tech giants come to the campus for great opportunity opportunity for students you can apply for placements from the fifth semester itself.
- College provides a lot of scholarships like merit cum means scholarship, inspire scholarship, and fee waiver scheme.
- The faculty members are really good as they are great researchers in their respective fields.
Dislikes
- But, if we talk about scholarship then it's a bad news that there is no institute scholarship for unreserved students but u can get it for other organisations like nsp.
- The hostel rooms are also not good enough and lack cleanliness sometimes and have broken chairs/ tables, etc. at times.
- The academic workload can be sometimes demanding, not always but sometimes, leading to stress and pressure among students.

- I like the college's campus its very greenery and beautiful.
- Here are very much opportunity to explore.
- Sports facility is very nice, we have almost all kind of sports activities.
Dislikes
- Some proffessors are very strict they don't allow us to enter the class if we come 5 mints late
- Attendance above 80%. Some teachers will deregister will attendance criteria will not match.
- Sometimes hostels foods are not good, you'll buy from canteen.
Course Curriculum Overview:
My course is manufacturing science and engineering which comes under mechanical engineering department, i choose this course because i want to invent or makes futuristic vehicles.
The overall course is good but some faculty had to change their teaching method .

- Socialization: There are many societies and clubs that increase your personal skills like talking , ideology ,etc.
- sports facility: It so many sports and gym facilities which help in self development
- professors: The faculty are friendly and so helping in nature
Dislikes
- Campus is so big that we need to go on cycles to reach on time.
- room are on so high floors and no lift ,so we need climb the stairs all the way up
- every food item contains aloo its so disgusting to eat
Placement Experience:
It has good placement opportunities as it is one of prestiguos college in india ,Its mostly famous and many companies arrive for placements.There is also so big alumni network ,from which we can also get opportunities

- I like the study/ competitive study and overall environment here at IIT Kharagpur. Also I like the coding culture . Placement/ Intern process are not transparent.
- In term of living life , hostal are really good in which I get single room .
Dislikes
- There is relative grading in most of subject which means only 5-10 percent student get EX grade no matter how hard you study.
- Hostel that provide private mess facility are really poor .
- There is lot of politics involve in every thing . So you have to make connections to survive
Placement Experience:
Placement are good not too good . Like every year there is approximately 1600- 1700 student were placed in company. Most of big and moderate size company came for recruitment in every sector sde, finance , consultanting core etc like Amazon , Microsoft, Google , Goldman Sachs, nividia, Adobe zepto anday other.
Highest package goes above 1cr every year.
Average package is about 17-18 lpa
70 to 80 percentage are placed .

- Everything I liked, it was good and courses are easy and professors are nice
- Mates are very nice and helpful, college has apps that helps us study
- It was wonderful to study, placements are good
Dislikes
- Weather is too humid for my liking, it becomes too hot sometimes
- Placements are tough to get, they choose only cs people

3rd semester starting internship for BTech Students and 5th semester starting for Dual degree students
A lot of companies come, see the brochure of you want

Likes
- The overall peer group you get in IITs is just next level compared to other colleges. If you want to learn any new thing, you can get a senior or a batchmate who would be already good at it.
- The societies in IIT Kharagpur are ample in number and very well maintained. You can join join any society that interests you and then they'll help you go deeper.
- The fests are a next level stress releaser. Big artists come to the fests and the concerts are just awesome. Personally, I feel fests are the most enjoyable part of college life.
Dislikes
- The hostels are pretty old. The rooms are pretty small to live in and study. The common washrooms are not that good and sometimes they smell really badly.
- As the peer group is pretty nice, you need to study pretty hard to maintain your grades and to get a good cgpa. Some professors teach things well but some don't. It becomes tough at times to comprehend things taught in the classroom.
- The cheating during the exams is the part I dislike the most. A certain group of people cheat in almost all the exams and this becomes pretty unfair for the major lot of people who had studied properly for the exams.
Placement Experience:
The general placements of IITs is comparitively way better than other government and private colleges. Many companies come to recruit students. Even top companies such as Goldman Sachs, Apple come to IIT campuses. The placement takes place in two phases. The first phase starts around November - December and ends around early February. The second phase takes place during the summers. The average package of my branch i.e. Mechanical Engineering was 18 lakhs whereas the median package was 21 lakhs.

- Big campus we have 2100 acres campus which give fresh air and fresh thoughts so that we can spend pleasant life
- Infrastructure is best as we have organised campus with food eateries and canteens .
Dislikes
- Hostel facility can be better as being the biggest iit we can have some advanced facilities in the campus
Placement Experience:
CDC conducts placement and internship in iit Kharagpur . All the final year students in IIT Kharagpur appear for placement, almost 70 percent people get placed in the companies , Highest package is almost 2 CR and average package is around 17 lakh , I want to work in Mech companies after my degree

- Academic are the best, library are open 24 hrs during exams. Faculties are the best in their field.
- Sports and extra curricular activities .
- Campus has alot of facilities inside it.
Placement Experience:
Students become elligble for placements after their 7th semester for Btech and 9th semester for Dual Degree. A lot Tech, finance and consultancy companies reach campus for the placements. Highest package for this year at IIT KGP is 1 Cr per annum and average is between 15-20 lpa.

- I can't say anything wrong from this IITs
- I actually feel that, if the admission process is very tough more calibre students can get here.
- One drawback of IITs admission is the reservation.

My father friends are students of IITs they motivated me to get into iit stream. I am very happy to be here in class of IIT.best way to get here is study daily with motivation and discipline.exams are like sem wise.

- Spring fest,we had spring fest this week and it was really nic making the collage lyf more.memorable
- There are a lot of societies in our campus. this enables a.student to engane in anything that he is interested
- We have an eco-friendly campus. we campus as a whole is really nice
Dislikes
- Obviously the main thing i never liked here is the mess food
- I expected good teaching but the lectures of professors where very bad
Placement Experience:
I'm a fist year student ...so I do t know much about placement .but according to what I heard the placement is good here. This year about 6 people bagged 1cr + package and many people.where placed in campus placement itself

- Cross-Culture provides very good opportunity to understand different people and make the ambience diverse.
- The various Fests makes it a lot more enjoyable and stress releasing.
- Being surrounded by like minded people, trying to develop themselves and grow and forster together.
Dislikes
- The great distance one have to cycle to reach classrooms.
- The shops and restaurants offering meals and snacks are very expensive.
- The rooms are not provided with AC. And it becomes too hot in summer.
Placement Experience:
From the 7th semester, students become eligible to sit for placement.
A lot of tech companies like Mercedes, Rolls Royce, and Tata, making a lot of offers to the brilliant students studying here,
The highest Package is 1.5Cr and the average package is 30,00,000.
Around 70 - 75% of students get placed every year.
I am planning to go for in-campus placement after the degree.
