- All the big brands and big tech giants come to the campus for great opportunity opportunity for students you can apply for placements from the fifth semester itself.
- College provides a lot of scholarships like merit cum means scholarship, inspire scholarship, and fee waiver scheme.
- The faculty members are really good as they are great researchers in their respective fields.
Dislikes
- But, if we talk about scholarship then it's a bad news that there is no institute scholarship for unreserved students but u can get it for other organisations like nsp.
- The hostel rooms are also not good enough and lack cleanliness sometimes and have broken chairs/ tables, etc. at times.
- The academic workload can be sometimes demanding, not always but sometimes, leading to stress and pressure among students.

- I liked the campus very much it has a lot of greenery.
- The infrastructure is very good. The facilities offered are vast and top notch.
- The faculties are very experienced and friendly with some exceptions.
Dislikes
- The course content is a bit outdated and more focused on theory.
- I did not like the food in the mess. The quality of the food is average.
- The pressure in IIT is very high you have to always be competetive.
Placement Experience:
The placements in IIT is always very good. The placements in my branch is very good standing at more than 90% from past three years and the average package is 30lakh. The overall average package is around 20lakh. Highest package offered last year was 2.6 crore.

- I like mess food in lal bahdur hall of residence and enjoyed college environment with friends and did alot of memories in starting days,and I like more nallada campus for class rooms and well equipped labs with highly educated professors and TA
- I went to college in starting days professors are well educated and with full of subjects knowledge,they teach very well and provide tutorial for students,and clear the doubts of students
- In IIT KHARAGPUR there is highest package for computer science and engineering students is nearly 2.68LPA this is highest package among all IIT's in india
Dislikes
- After completion of one month the mess I don't like because am from South India we are eat full of spicy but North Indian Ara not eat much more of spicy,so I didn't loke mess food
- Near by hijili railway station always make noises around the college there is lot of railway tracks are there and the city in foyer of college main gate there is dirty and make alot of bad smells
- I didn't get good and quality food as South India I'm fully upset in food,I can't believe the iit food is like
Course Curriculum Overview:
I think best future of this course,now a day we use alot of electronic devices, without any electronic devices we can't do anything,so am also interested in electronics and this branch has well future and get good package

- Campus, its greenery all around. We are always connected to nature.
- Culture over herebis so great. No ragging takes place.
- Classrooms are well equiped. Technological advancment are always done.
Dislikes
- Campus is to big, sometimes we get physicaly drained.
- No outside life, nothing to enjoy out no puns no clubs.
- It is not well connected to the world. Trains are not there no airport.

- Campus and atmosphere around here is too good
- Food from night canteens and everywhere outside mess is nice
- The class schedules are quiet good and proffs don't care much about anything
Dislikes
- Hard to good friends and people are always busy
- Exams are not always easy, people get so rude during exams especially in library
- The quality of food and the way it's prepared, I don't like it
Placement Experience:
Campus placements mostly 3rd year ig or 6th sem
Many companies like Microsoft google etc come each year
Highest package is 1 Cr+ and average 36 lakhs
Almost 90-100% placement rate
After getting degree, get placed

- The atmosphere in our college is really good. The greenery here makes the campus really beautiful and charming.
- The societies here are really good. Students get to learn a lot and they make very good friends and connections.
- The academics are interesting here at IIT Kharagpur. This particular opinion of others might differ from mine. But I personally found it really good.
Dislikes
- I didn't like the quality of food that we get in our hostel mess.
- The hostels in the campus must be re-innovated. They are pretty old.
Placement Experience:
The placements of our college are really good. About 9 students got a mouth watering package of 1 Cr+. Students who are in final year of their course are eligible for campus placements. IIT Kharagpur students are known to be hired by world class companies like Google, Microsoft, Infosys, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, Nvidia, Samsung, etc. My plans after getting my degree is to apply for campus placements and join one of these top companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:
All students of UG first year have to study under the same curriculum. Each section has around 6-7 professors who teach different subjects. Evaluation is done by taking mid semester, end semester and internal examinations.

The course is excellent as it gives opportunity in working in different fields like electronics, electrical, computer science etc and the placement of the course is also very great. The faculty of the course is also amazing as they are all PHDs from different IIT's

- Campus Life - 2100 acre campus has everything you can ask for
- Large numbers and activeness of Societies and Clubs
- Great Opportunities and exposure given to us

- Hostels and Mess are not that good as compared to other IITs
- First year course has some irrelevant subjects like English, Environmental science etc
- Location - not located in a big city so there is nothing outside the campus

Placements are very good as you would expect from an IIT. Big companies like Google, Apple, Microsoft, Flipkart , Amazon, Goldman Sachs, ITC, Texas Instruments, ISRO, DRDO, Oracle etc. Average package last year was 22.35 lakhs.

- The campus life is very good and the peer group created is the biggest x factor in an iit life.
- The campus placements and internship opportunities are very good and encouraging.
- The exposure to different fields has an everlasting impact and is very much a boon.
Dislikes
- The attendance system of having a minimum of 75 percent attendance.
- The large campus often becomes exhausting.
- One has to travel very long distances to move from one place to the other which is tiring .
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards.
A large number of companies visit the campus for placements which includes a large number of MNCs .
Highest package for the 2023-2024 session was about 16900000 lpa.
Average package is about 2500000 lpa for ece branch.
A large percentage of students get placed making the placements decent.

- Food in lbs hall the food is worse and mostley students depend on canteens and hotels
- gender ratio girls need more seats in iit kgp
- we cant get time to study due to extremely short semester

Basically i can cse in iit guwahati.I love electronics as compared to coding.
faculty student ratio is excellent there were many TA's in iit kgp they are very helpflu but sometimes they struggle to explain concepts
