the curriculum that we are provided has many subjects realated to web dovelopment,software development and many more things so that is helpful for clearing the placement exams. this course has many advantages in the future.many companies are specifically hiring computer science engineering students for their companies curriculum has many subjects where we learn to develop software and develop the web teaching methods can be improved by giving more exposure to the theoritical knowledge we are supposed to attend four exams per semester wich is of two internals one practical and one semester exam which can be easily cleared

tution fees starts from 250000, tution fees of a student depends on the date of admission that is before or after the results are announced . tution fees increases after the results are announced the complete cost of academic year is 480000,which splits as 380000 fopr my tution fees and 100000 for my hostel no scholarships are provided only sports quota is avaialble ther are no campus employmwnt and any other such things

Celebrations and facilities in campus

there is only one cultural fest conducted per year and that is in the year February and they also celebrated pongal festival . there is also another big fest conductedd only for hostel students and dayscholars are not allowed for that hostel fest there are plenty of books and is available for everyone but during the exams time books are not sufficient because open book tests are conducted so ther is some demand for some books new buildings have good infrastructure but he old builiding doesnt but they are functional officallly sports are not conducted for the students students can join clubs in their second year

Hostel facilities and nearby accommodation

currently am staying in the hostel they provide only bed,cot and fans in the room food is extraordinary for non veg eaters but there are less varieties for veg eaters hostel is given for everyone for both girls and boys there is no limitation pgs are also available nearby for 6 to 7k per month but food is not good in the pg

Admission process and eligibility criteria

Eligibility of the course was to score a minimum of 60 marks in physics ,chemistry and maths in our 12th You can find the application in the sathyabama website but i got my application by visiting the college application dates were provided in the university website There is no reservation provided in this college There are four exams per semester Two internals are conducted follwing with a semester exam and also a practical exam Passing all the exams is not a big task a student can easily pass by starting his preparation before the exam week Admission process can be improved by providing the option of filling the admission form in the online and by paying the seat booking fees in online portal

Night Life

College has no night life you cannot roam much in the campus in the night times During working days you should be either inside hostel or in college you will not get any outings In the college you have a canteen where you can hangout

For B.E, B.Tech, B.Des & B.Pharma (4-Year Programme)

5% of the Tuition Fee will be waived off for the top 3 ranks holders of the second year, based on end semester results of the first two semesters.
10% of the Tuition Fee will be waived off for the top 3 ranks holders of the third year, based on end semester results of the first four semesters.
15% of the Tuition Fee will be waived off for the top 3 ranks holders of the fourth year, based on end semester results of the first six semesters.

For B.Arch, BA-LLB, BBA-LLB, B.Com-LLB & BDS (5-Year Programme)

5% of the Tuition Fee will be waived off for the top 3 ranks holders of the second year, based on end semester results of the first two semesters will be waived.

Likes

Location: The campus were located at the vibrant city with a thriving tech scene, which made it easy to find internships.
Learning facilities: the computer labs were state of the art and the library had an extensive collection of resources in different department.

Dislikes

Infrastructure (some areas): while the computer labs were excellent , some of the older classrooms need to be renovated, the WIFI is also sometime unrachable.
Administrative issues: Ocassionally, dealing with administrative tasks (registration, financial etc..)

Sathyabama: a goodie bad decision

Dislikes

The restrooms of commerce block are worse than many public restrooms with no proper water supply....

Admission:

Shiv Nadar university was my alternative which in my opinion is a better college if you are willing to spend 3 Lakhs per year on tution... but my main reason was just that sathyabama is closer compared to ssn which is nearly on the outskirts of the city.... Sathyabama was an accident for me as i just accompanied my friend who was on a lookout for an engineering college within the city... the admission process is so easy that i was able to apply with no prior preparation... I'm not sure whether my score in 12th grade was good but all they asked for was 50000 in advance and the rest to be paid within a 20 day period.
