Course Curriculum Overview

4

The subjects are of a good mix. All the different schools and fields of psychology like Forensic, Social, Psychopathology is given. Reseach Methology is given importance. Electives could be made more of the stidents choice.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Since Psychology as a field requires more expertise. Masters in it is expected. So the opportunities are quite less. Though non-stipendary internships are encouraged by the college to work in. Clinical and industrial set ups.

Placement Experience

3

Students are eligible for placements from 5th semester. But since Psychology students need a masters to work in the field, placement opportunities are less and not sought after also. Many placement opportunity to work as recruiters, hr is provided though.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is quite less comparatively. The main fee included everything like exam fees, mess, lab, transportation etc. No additional fee will be collected. Scholarships are provided to first three rank holders every year. Placements options are available but its mostly HR.

Campus Life

3.5

The department focuses a lot on student activities. Club activities are constantly held and everyone is involved. Technical and Non Technical events are held. Annualy, Cultural Fests would be arranged by the college with competitions and musicals. Sports is also encouraged along with NSS and NCC.

Admission

The admission was quite smooth. Only the 12th marks were considered. There was no entrance examinations. Students from all the stream were eligible for the course. Application forms can be seen in the official website. There is no reservation policies.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty were very much approchable. They had good connection and contact in the field which could be very helpful. They are encouraging in terms of extra curriculars like conducting events etc. Faculty to student ration is 1:65 (but next year I guess they are taking actions to get it to 1:30). But they provide good mentorship. An important con is the faculties switch quite often.

Placement Experience:

My course is a five year course, so it had around 9 to 10 semesters as the first year had no semester. It was a non-semester. So first year had only one semester exam followed by all the other semesters other years at two semesters. From fifth year, students are eligible for campus placements During Covid time, our campus, Placement happened so companies visited are Shlok labs, some assignment writing company which is already closed now and some other start-ups which are not very famous and offer made us around 10,000 per month Highest package received is around 3.5,00,000 per year percentage of students getting Placement is very less only 30 to 40 percentage not even that much. I can say if we apply any companies directly, we will be placed but not through college and especially this course, but other courses are having very good opportunities. As this course recruiters will say it is over qualified.
