Course Description
- PG Diploma in Clinical Embryology is a 1-year PGD program which focuses on the study of fertilisation of eggs and the healthy development of the embryos. Clinical Embryology is a rapidly developing branch of reproductive science that started with the birth of the first test tube baby in 1978 and is now recognized as Assisted Reproductive Technology. The programs offer knowledge and practical skills in the domain of human embryology. Practitioners of Clinical Embryology provide complex, regulated laboratory techniques that allow identifying the cause of infertility at a cellular level by analysing the gametes, processing the gametes, isolating and culturing of embryos, etc. which form the backbone of treatment modalities for infertile couples. After completion of the program, students will have core competencies in areas such as IVF, ICSI, Gamete and Embryo Cryopreservation, Laser Hatching and Biopsy, Semen Analysis, Setting-up a Lab, Quality Control and Research.
Eligibility Criteria
-
- Age : Minimum age 25 years
- Qualification: Candidate who have passed MBBS degree recognized by the NMC or life sciences Post Graduations (M.Sc) Candidates.
- Candidates who have studied in foreign countries (outside India) and passed Clinical Courses, the equivalent certificate issued by the NMC. Percentage of Marks: Minimum aggregate of 50% in the qualifying Examination from a recognized University in India.
