Excellent placements: bits pilani has a strong industry network and consistently records high placement percentages, with many students securing job offers before graduation.
The faculty at bits are superb and also pretty chill at the same time.
Merit cum need scholarship is given to the best students who are poor but good in studies.

Dislikes

Grading is difficult , papers are also difficult
It has very bad bathing water, causes skin and hair issues
I hate the fact that there are lot of stray animals even in our hostels

BITS Pilani - It's magic

Alumni culture of BITS is arguably the best . It has it's alumni all across the globe with alums in all top tier companies which helps a lot
Ps - 1 and Ps - 2 are two internship opportunities which the college itself provides which is a great opportunity for every bitsian
Fests is bits are all student driven with oasis being the major attraction. The fests are highlighted with high profile prof shows

Dislikes

Very high fees is the only thing to dislike. Most of the students find it hard to pay.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their 4th year in case of a single degree or in their 5th year if he is a dualite. Although summer interns get hired in their 3rd year itself which is a great opportunity to get a high pre placement offer . Around 350 companies visit the campus every year and many offers are made ig around 800 . Highest package previous year for what I have heard was 4.2 cr to a 2 time icpc finalist student which was crazy . Avg package varies around 17 to 20 lakhs. Almost 85 to 90 percent students get placed and the remaining either go for masters or continue the internships in respective companies

The freedom of your own time because of the 0% attendance policy
The amazing fests here at BITS Pilani, ATMOS, PEARL AND Arena ( technical, cultural and sports fests respectively)
Our Auditorium, that can host over 5000 students in one seating, is one of the biggest in ASIA and has an amazing vibe to it

Dislikes

Didn't like the mess food, felt that it's quality sometimes is bad and it gets monotonous after some time
the teachers and faculty. Some of them are not very supportive of students pursuing other interests apart from studies
a few hostels at bits hyderabad smell very very badly because there is a dumpyard nearby which causes foul smells at night

Placement Experience:

After your 3rd year you become eligible for campus placements almost everyone here at bits gets an offer from 1 company, the most notable ones being oracle, amazon , google , nvidia etc etc. Highest package is 1CR+ average is 19 lakhs CTC almost 90% of students get placed I want to pursue entrepreneurship after this degree.

Best hostels,Pilani" campus is considered the best campus of BITS Pilani, as it is the oldest and most established, with a larger alumni base and a reputation for high academic standards and strong placements; making it the flagship campus of the ins
The food is healthy, and tries to provide all kinds of varsity of dishes
Best placements, almost 100% placements till date. It has one of the highest average package

Dislikes

Away from city, less places to travel nearby
No proper south food, its a little bit disappointment for south people
The travelling to this place Is very costly and very strenuous job

Placement Experience:

Placements are the best in my college. They are continuously bringing a large amount of companies in every engineering branch and providing a guarantee job to almost everyone. It's maintained the literal 100% placements policy

BITS PILANI : A PORT FOR SUCESS

One of the best things in BITS Pilani is ZERO percent attendance policy which means your class attendance does not make a difference in exam marks , so student can also focus on co-curricular activities.
There is no ragging in the campus, best thing a engineering college can have.
The professors are well educated and well informed also they are very friendly in lecture( some exception like Challa in CSE dept.)

Dislikes

The placement unit do not release the exact data of placements ongoing.
Pilani is town , so there is no big city life you can enjoy like in Delhi or Mumbai.

Placement Experience:

In BITS placements begin in the final year , with candidates being available from their 7th semester. Topper firms include Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs,TATA etc. The highest package is 80LPA with average package of 20 to 25 LPA in rupees. Over 90% students are placed with rolesin software development, AI/ML, finance and consulting.

Safety of the students in the campus is best as there are guards at each interval
Sports facilities like badminton, tennis, cricket, football and other sports are phenomenal
Faculties are top notch with experience in their repsective fields

Dislikes

Classes are a bit further than hostels, so in morning class it might be a issue (prefer purchasing a cycle)
Rooms are not equipped with AC's so in summer it may be uncomfortable
Girls to boys ratio is average in comparision to other engineering institutes

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester onwards (single degree students) students are elegible for placement. There are no companies that have visited but haven't given any placement. Avaerage package is around 35 lakhs 97% students are placed who applies for placement and all are placed in their desired companies

The collage life is amazing and there are a lot of events happening all year
The sports facilities are one of the best thing I like
The teachers are very knowledgeable and supportive

Dislikes

The fee is very high but still it is worth.

Placement Experience:

The placements are very great.it is said that on admitting into BITS the placements is almost confirmed. almost 100 percent of students get placed in their dream jobs. The highest package are 80-100 lpa I am planning to get placed in some consulting firm.

Likes

The culture of BITS PILANI , how the seniors and professers are literally so helpful . Here we call it Bits pilani its magic
The exposure u get in engineering college which is tier 1 , as a pharmacy student is very good here , which leads to more opportunities
The startup culture of bits is amazing , There are many alumni who have founded big companies which really motivates us to get into this stuff

Dislikes

There is a little academic pressure which might be relevant because you are in a top university
The location of college is off as there is no spot where students can hang out as pilani is not a proper city
There is no facility of air conditioned rooms

Placement Experience:

The placement data of our college says that the median for b pharm is around 9 lakhs The highest package might be around 12 lakhs in pharma only other branches have average around 25 lakhs % of students getting placed is around 90% I have planned doing masters after my bachelors The companies like pharmace , dr reddys , iqvia , tcs come for recruitments

The campus is very spacious and pollution free, very neat and clean
The valuation of exams is done very accurately, you will awarded exactly the deserved marks and there is a formal procedure for applying recheck if you are not satisfied
We have zero attendance policy which gives us freedom to explore our interests

Dislikes

The extreme climatic conditions makes us very discomfort both in summer and winter, especially in winter temperatures drop to nearly zero
The food is really bad and its compulsory to enroll for mess if you want to stay in hostel
There are no enough entertainment facilities

You can attend for placements in 4-1 or 4-2 not both. No of offers made: Microsoft-8, google-6, Deshaw-5, Trexquant-4, amazon-15, flipkart-10, IMC-3, uber-8. Almost everyone gets placed, if minimum academics are maintained. I am planning to do job after graduation.

The faculty is absolutely good. Not only they help in academics but also pay concern to personal issues of students
The college fests are one of a kind with extravagant facilities.
The startup culture and the junior senior interaction.

Dislikes

Academic burden sometimes surpasses the enjoyment.
The fee structure might be an issue for some.
Some infrastructure is yet under development and would take years to build

The college placements are exceptional with the average package being around 25-30 lakhs and the hughest package reachung upto 1 Cr. Apart from placements, college provides a 6-12 month paid internship program called the PS-2 which helps students receive PPOs and gain hands on experience working in the industry

What is your review of BITS Pilani WILP?Does it consider to get lecturer job?

BITS WILP is a two-year postgraduate level course, in which 15 specializations are offered by the university. It is a degree course that is completed mainly on weekends to enable students and professionals to gain a full-time degree course while continuing their professional pursuits.

Pros

You get associated with the BITS tag
You can do your PG alongside working
The course is rather easy and with the right dedication you can complete it in 2 yrs.
The syllabus is the same for both on and off-campus students

Cons

You won’t be able to sit for PG campus recruitment
Not many companies consider this degree valuable and thus makes it is difficult to land a job.
The admission criteria are rather flexible thus the peer pool is not very filtered.
Most of the subjects are from bachelors and lack relevance and rigor
There is no visible difference in the knowledge base of the students.
The classes are not conducted by the original BITS faculty.

In all, I think the cons overshadow the pros and don’t deem this course a very wise decision.

Is BITS Pilani "Pilani campus" better than IIT Roorkee or IIT Guwahati?

In my opinion, both BITS Pilani and IIT Roorkee are in the same league while IIT Guwahati is a bit inferior to them. Let’s discuss further on the basis of some very common aspects

Core subjects: BITS Pilani does not focus on core subjects and the research culture is also very inactive. This is because of the extremely laid-back curriculum and attendance policy. The research opportunities offered are very less in comparison to IITs
Placements: In this aspect, BITS Pilani definitely fairs better with its flagship Practice School program. Students of this program receive many PPOs from top companies during internships arranged by the college itself.
Campus life: IMHO BITS offers the best campus life owing to the student-driven culture and great academic flexibility.
Performance: The institutes can be evaluated on the basis of the performance of their students in various entrance exams. IIT Roorkee students score the best in GATE, UPSC, etc. while BITS Pilani scores well in CAT, GMAT, and GRE.
Peer groups: The average student quality of both the institutes is somewhat similar with IIT Roorkee giving a slight edge to BITS Pilani in this aspect.

Both the colleges have their own strengths and weaknesses and comparing them is illogical. I would say that if you are genuinely interested in CSE, then Pilani will be better for you than Roorkee. But if you aren’t certain of your area of interest then choose IIT Roorkee for its IIT tag.
