Is it worth taking B Pharmacy at Bits Pilani and leaving a BTech in mining in NIT Raipur?

In my opinion, a B Pharmacy at BITS Pilani is better than a BTech in mining at NIT Raipur. There are many opportunities one can avail of by doing this course. Some of them have been listed below You can do an M Pharmacy from a prestigious US University or from NIPER Mohali. You might secure an excellent job abroad. As far as core placements are concerned, there are far more pharmaceutical companies than mining companies. Moreover, BITS offers elective courses in 2nd year and minor courses so you can opt for CS minor courses and even get placed in a CS company. Another future prospect of doing B Pharmacy is that you can join any pharmaceutical company and work hard to secure a better position. You can also pursue a Ph.D. degree and pursue a career in research. In all, choosing a B Pharmacy at BITS Pilani will offer better opportunities than a BTech in mining at NIT Raipur.

Is it worth taking B Pharma in BITS Pilani?

My brother used to be a student of BITS Pilani and from what he has heard; it is not a good institute for students who want to pursue pharmacy. You should pursue pharmacy at BITS Pilani only if you have a strong background in physics, chemistry, and biology or you cannot get admission to some other institute. Even if you do have a strong background in the three subjects, the chances of getting converted to a different stream are very low. You have to obtain a CGPA of or higher than 9.8. It is simply too high and getting a 257 just will not be enough. On the other hand, BITS is a very reputed institute. It is highly praised by my friend and a lot of the students and former students as well. It is a very good institute but pharmacy is just not its forte. It would be better if you look for other institutes if you want to pursue pharmacy.

Fees and Financial Aid:

the basic tuition fee per semester was 2,50,000 in the first year with a 5% increment every year . the hostel fees is 20000 per semester and then there is 10000 of mess advance that has to be paid in the beginning of the semester and additional mess cost is given with the fees of the next semester

BITS Pilani- A relevant review of Pharmacy

The semester wise fee is approximately 3 lakhs, this is including hostel and mess fee. The hostel fee is approximately 20k per semester (including electricity, water) and the mess fee is paid advance (10k) for the next semester. The monthly mess fee is about 5k (180 per day) for a month. Scholarship available is MCN ie Merit cum need, is for the students with yearly family income less than 12lpa. 100% to 25% relaxation given on tuition fee based on the Cummulative garde up to the particular semester. With 6 cgpa receiving about 25% relaxation. Top 1% of the batch gets Merit scholarship as well.

The fee structure in Bits Pilani is semester-wise: Tuition fees-255000 Hostel:20650(please correct it) Additional advances:12000 Mess advance:10000 Student union fees:450 Student aid fees:225 The above-mentioned category of fee structure is common for every student despite their branch, although the semester-wise split of fees is different for everyone as additional expenses are different for every individual. Bits Pilani does provide scholarships like merit cum need, and academic scholarships to the top 1% of students, and also gives a chance to avail of external scholarships depending upon their eligibility criterion.

My Bits my life..

The fees structure of Birla Institute of technology and science pilani is about 600000 education fees a year and 88000 hostel and mess fees that include electricity and water bills.Bits also offers merit cum need scholarships.

The fees are one of the major drawbacks of this college. The fee is nearly 22 Lakhs but one can avail of multiple scholarships to easily cut down the costs to around 14-15 lakhs. BITS offers merit as well as merit cum need scholarships which can avail as much as 100% of the tuition fee.

BITS Pilani at a Glance

The fee hike is almost 10 percent per year. There is two types of scholarships provided. One is Merit Cum Need: Based on the annual income of family if less than 4 lakh per annum and the CGPA. Another is Merit purely for the top scorers.

It's just as they say "its Magic"

There are few scholarships available under the names of MCN which is based on need and is provided to those with a family income of less than eight lakhs while the other one is a merit scholarship for those who are among top 50 in the college. The loan facilities are abundant with ICICI bank and SBI being the most readily available ones.
