the ca,pus placements are above average for the engineering courses in comparision to other private colleges but pharmacy placements are below par tey do not call a lot of core pharmacy companies for placmeents and most people in this degree either opt for non core placements or go for higher studies any core placments have very low packages(4 lpa) and are not much to begin with . i intend to go for higher studies(MBA) either in india or abroad

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college are excellent for tech and other domains, however, in terms of my own degree, ie B.Pharmacy, significant direct placement opportunities in core pharmacy are not available. The college is lacking in this respect, even in terms of summer training and opportunities, Pharmacy students do not get much opportunity. This is prevelant even for pharm tech or other related fields. They have to look for other domains for placements (finance, data science, consulting etc). Students can also get a ppo from ps2 opportunities. Approx 70-80% people are placed, in terms of pharma, only 30-40% people are placed.

Highest packages go upto 2 crores for quant roles since they are highly paid for .Approximately 81 % of the students get placed , I have personally seen students with a CGPA of even 5 get placed a job of 14 Lakhs per annum .My plans after getting the degree are to work in finance .

Institute's policy of conducting Practice School helps in providing real hands on industry experience for all students which is insightful and gives and edge when appearing for placements.

Placement Experience:

For Mechanical branch most of the students were placed(>85%) and average was around 18 LPA. Companies like HUL, JSW appear for core mechanical roles. Highest package offered in the core segment was of 36 LPA in Livguard. No mass recruiters appear for the placements as students dont feel it's a good ROI to apply in those companies.

Students become eligible for placements in their 4th year in case of a single degree or in their 5th year if he is a dualite. Although summer interns get hired in their 3rd year itself which is a great opportunity to get a high pre placement offer . Around 350 companies visit the campus every year and many offers are made ig around 800 . Highest package previous year for what I have heard was 4.2 cr to a 2 time icpc finalist student which was crazy . Avg package varies around 17 to 20 lakhs. As per the information obtained from her, around 80% of the students of the mechanical branch got placed. As per him, all ME CS students get placed and around 3 to 4 students with better CGPA are chosen to sit in PS -2. BITS Pilani placement takes place in 2 semesters. In the second placement semester, students get excellent internship offers on the basis of their CGPA. Top recruiters who recruit ME CS students are Qualcomm, Cisco, Mathworks, Microsoft, and Amazon.

Another friend who was in the 2020 batch claimed that almost 100% of the students were placed. The highest salary package offered was 50 LPA, while the average salary package offered was 20 LPA and the minimum salary package offered was 10 LPA. Top recruiter companies are Google, Amazon Sprinklr, Cisco, Samsung, Microsoft, and many others.

Its research-oriented institute is primarily established to conduct cutting-edge research in the field of CS. While BITS Pilani also has a decent research culture, DTU, and NSUT are nowhere near IIIT Delhi in terms of research. IIIT Delhi students have a lot of projects to work on under highly learned and passionate faculties. The exposure these students receive is unmatched and they are offered excellent opportunities in terms of both in industry and for higher education.

So if you want both excellent placements and research opportunities go for IIIT Delhi but if you want a good campus life too that is less focused on research go for BITS Pilani.

BITS Pilani has placements in 2 semesters and you can choose which one to sit for placements. Usually, students with CGPA > 8 prefer the first semester while those with CGPA > 6 and CGPA < 8 want the first semester but fail to get it.

The first semester placements for ECE are great and top companies like Intel, Qualcomm, Broadcom, SanDisk, Nvidia, Cisco, etc come for placements out of which 15-20 are core companies. So the first semester has great job profiles and packages.

Big companies like Intel, Nvidia, etc. that prefer high-scoring students don’t come for the second semester as mostly average students sit for placements.
