BITS Pilani, Its Magic

The course is well structured with weekly or fortnightly evaluations to keep a check on students. There are no pre requisites required for any course and if there is any, the professors themselves take it in extra time

Companies like Tower Research Capital come to the college offering a whopping stipend of 51 lakhs for 2 months. Whereas other companies offer stipends ranging from 20000 to 5 lakhs. College offers PS1 and PS2 internships

The college placements are exceptional with the average package being around 25-30 lakhs and the hughest package reachung upto 1 Cr. Apart from placements, college provides a 6-12 month paid internship program called the PS-2 which helps students receive PPOs and gain hands on experience working in the industry

The fees of Bits Pilani is a but aggresive than that of other colleges measuring upto 30 lakhs for 4 years. But this owes to the massive infrastructure of the college and the opportunities the college provides. Also there are scholarships worth 80% of the total tuition fees which is rewarded as merit cum need and merit scholarship to deserving candidates so that they do not miss on anything due to the fee structure

The two main fests conducted here are Oasis (cultural fest) and Apogee (technical fest) which have a budget of over 1 Cr which makes the experience extraordinary. The library has over 1 lakh books. Every club and social groups that students can be a part of is run by students

The hostels for first year and second yearites have double sharing whereas for futher years, its single occupancy. The mess menu is diverse with a change in the menu every single day. Non vegetarian food is served on Wednesdays and sundays

BITS Pilani not only provides an academic boost to the students but also helps in personal development offering various co curricular activities side by side. Also the fests over here are conducted on such a large scale that it somehow releases the burden of the students for 3-4 days. Also the junior senior interaction is really good

The faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:20. The teachers are easily approachable through mails and to meet in person, the teachers have specified chamber hours for consulation. Professor Pushp Lata and Professor Jay Pandey have turned out to be my favorite professors for they have an excellent style of teaching and provide enough attention to the needs of a student. Professor Krishna Etika serves as my least favorite professor for him being a bit strict with grading. There are usually 3 sets of evaluative components, mainly the class tests, midsems and the comprehensive exams which are kind of tough but would be easy for the ones who have actually maintained a consistent studying approach throughout the semester

There are no hostel in timings of the campus. The college has a well equipped gym with almost every exercise equipment. The students are generally seen spending time in Looters, TOTT, All night canteen and Food ministry
