Nothing everything is excellent. This kind of college and faculty is hard to find barring few professors, which you would find everywhere

Its more industrial relevant and also research driven. Professors give weightage to both aspects equally. Coming to research part, they do support and encourage students to make their mark in research and development work. Also, many of my alumni I know have dedicated themselves for the same

Apogee and oasis are two main events. Technical event is Apogee whereas Oasis is cultural fest of the college where students from various premium institutes join and make it happening. Also, Apogee do invite people from all over and is supremely admired again and again by many of them

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive I would say. Previously it was feasible, now with new structure it is raised further. Hike in fee is unprecedented and should be looked into. But students do cover all these within a few years of their job, so not a big factor considering the quality of life and education they would get here

I was gate qualified, so my tuition fee was covered by scholarship provided by UGC. I dint opt for any other scholarship

Campus Life

Gender ratio is 13:1. Extracurricular activities are managed by students and they are plenty. If you want to improve as human, as student, in life, do come here and spend best of your life time here in the campus, I bet you would enjoy every bit of it

Yes, Bits is in house residence college whereas most of the students baring few localites reside inside campus. There are 11 boys hostel and single girls hostel. Every two hostel has single mess shared amongst them

Admission

BITSAT exam followed by interview in college. The topics for bitsat are- physics, chemistry and maths. Also, you should be versatile as they check your IQ and analytical skills too. Exam duration is of 3 hours and post exam, then and there on screen you would get your score

Best in India. Faculty is so dedicated that even in night if you ping them or ask for doubt, they are always ready. If you are struggling in personal life also, they would try to help you out. Post college also there is a strong network between us, imagine the quality yourself

Campus placement for M.Tech students usually begins in the 3rd semester, allowing students to build their technical knowledge and complete relevant projects. The TPC is active and brings in a mix of core and IT giants and research-driven organizations. QUALCOMM, TEXAS INSTRUMENTS, MICROCHIP, Marvel, Intel, SAMSUNG, and AMAZON regularly visit the campus. The highest package will be 30 LPA, mid and avg are approximately the same, about 24 LPA, approximately 80% students get placed through campus drives, while others pursue Ph.D and research projects. Personally, after completing my degree, I aim to expand my embedded system knowledge to work in the semiconductor industry, while also keeping the option of pursuing doctoral research abroad if the right opportunity arises

An honest review about Fees, Curriculum, Placements and More

Placement Experience:

There were total 11 students in my batch of M.tech AR-VR. From 3rd semter everyone becomes eleigible for the placements. Almost each of the companies related to IT/CS/AI were allowed us to sit for the placements. Almost each of the students who were looking for placements got the opportunity either through campus or non-campus drive. One student got the PhD opportunity. Rest 10 students got some opportunity in different companies on roles like Softawre Development Engineer, Data Scientist, AI Research Engineer, GenAI Engineer, Research Associate etc.

The placement percentage is around 80% -90%. Around 10 minimum companies visited in one branch ( EE, ME, CE, CS..). The highest package is in computer science department around 65lpa.

I selected this college over other colleges due to its legacy, exposure and opportunities. The freedom to traverse through multiple domains and it's flexible academics. I had applied to almost all biotech, bio engineering related colleges to get into health sector domain. I did not get rejection from any of the colleges. The admission process of my college includes an eligibility test, BITSAT, the scores of which determine admission into thsi college. I had appeared for the test in PCB subjects instead of PCM. The exposure given for finance and Entreprenurship in BITS Pilani is well over what an average engineering college might provide you . They offer a minor option using which one can sit in finance placements with companies like UBS Deutsche Bank , Jane Street and many more .The admission process for BITS includes the BITSAT exam which is an MCQ based exam . I chose BITS Pilani over other colleges due to its academic flexibilitym vibrant culture, zero reservation and merit based admission process. I had confirmed admissions from other colleges such as DTU but I opted for BITS primarily because of it Practice School program and the autonomy it offers in shaping your academic journey. The admission process is through the BITSAT exam, an online test includes Physics, Chemistry and Maths and English and Logical Reasoning. There is no reservation policy.
