My experience in SLIET ,LONGOWAL

Likes

It's infrastructure is very good it is full of greenary.
There is separate hostel for boys and girls. There is also a complex in the institute for the student's where they can get everything they need.
Campus life is good .the faculties are well educated and cooperative with their students.

Dislikes

Market is very far from the campus and the student's have to wait for the bus for many hour's
Medical facilities is not good. Hospital is far from the college
Average student have to work hard for their placement .

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placement after their diploma and BE. L&T, KHANNA PAPER MILLS, JSW 50 Lakh 90 percent Students are placed. My plan after getting the degree is to have campus placement in a good company.

Honest Review about SLIET on the basis of 6 years experience

Likes

I liked infrastructure of SLIET University.who expand about 450 acres area of land
Well educated faculties is available in institute a lot of them is very humble and helpfull in nature
The qualities of education is very good according to me as compared to other institutions with respect to fee structure

Dislikes

Some how the placement of average students is 400000 per annum that is disappointing me
It is very far away from the market that is some how difficult to transport beacuse bus timetable to come college is limited
The syllabus is very outdated and infrastructure which is not used as the full potential of

Placement Experience:

The placement condition is quite impressive. The students of the 6th semester are eligible for campus placement. There are a lot of companies used to come some of them are L&T, GE, Goderage etc. At least 75 percentage students get placement. average placement package is 400000 per annum. highest package is 1crore which gets placement in Google.

My exprecise here is vey good. Faculty members and batchmates are nice

Placement Experience:

Every more than a hundred companies visited including JSw, iagec, tata motor, honda, Wipro, dellotite, L&T etc are major recruiters. The average package also good at 6-8lpa Also, placements are increasing day by day.

You need to pay extra charge to use electric applicance.

Placement Experience:

The placement of the college is good. Companies like Jio, Wipro, TCS, Capgemini, etc. have arrived at our college to give PPO and on-campus placement offers to provide students placement in the required domain.

Dislikes

Campus life is really bad here. the college is in village side area
hostels are also so bad especially girls hostel.
you will not get a proper coding environment.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not so good here. very few companies visit here and all of them are mass recruiters. average package is 3.5 lakh per annum. it is quite a fine package according to its fee. you get a nice ROI here.

Likes

College campus is good and environment is good
Infrastructure is very good all the building have like newly
The connectivity to Sangrur to college is good

Dislikes

The college situated in Village area so many companies are not visited
This college does not have any state quota
The campus outside area is not much safe

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose mechanical engineering because of my interest in the automobile industry. Here good faculty: student ratio is good. All the faculties are highly qualified and their teaching is average. Two times a year and it's easy to pass them you should pass them with the study of few days.

Have a Clear Choice of your College

Likes

The greenery campus that the college offers.
Great faculties behavior towards student. Always gives a helping hand.
The connectivity from the college to the main city.

Dislikes

As it is situated in a rural area we don't get much opportunities.
Management of the college is not that good.
We can't use heaters and boilers in the hostel.

Placement Experience:

By the Third to Fourth semester students become eligible for placement. Many companies visit the college namely Mahindra, TVS, etc. Offering many students a decent salary. The highest of the ME branch is 12LPA and the lowest is 5LPA. Around 60% of students get placed and many go for higher studies. My plan is to get placed at the college itself.

Speaking Truth

Likes

You will get ample amount of time if you are preparing for some competitive exam.
Course curriculum is not that hard , one can get through exams very easily.
Overall the campus is nice greenery is everywhere and you can find good and bad people everywhere.

Dislikes

Internet facilities are not that good they have even set a limit of 1 GB which is very less.
Placement are crucial for everyone including me.and I would be more than happy if they try to improve placement scenario in campus.
Hostel curfew timings and cultural fest is of only two days events are also less.

Placement Experience:

My plans after getting the degree are to work for some time to save money after that I want to pursue a master's abroad and settle there. Last year the highest package offered was 22lpa. An average package fluctuates between 4lpa to 5lpa. Students are eligible for placement in the seventh semester of their degree.

My lifestyle in collage

Likes

Infrastructure is very good
Fees of my college is very less. This is the reason most of students choose this college.

Dislikes

There is no much faclity available in student activity centre.
Hostel rooms are not good. I live in very old room.
I got much assignments, practical from collage. I got very less time to learn skills

Placement Experience:

You can get internships from your 2nd year. But you need skills for internships apart from college ones. Actual internships from college are provided from 3rd year. Some FAANG companies also visit here. But the number of students who got hired is less. In cse branch placement ratio is 90 per cent.
